28 : We could've had it all

"The man living with you from the past four years is Joe, my friend...not Jeon Jungkook"

"How...?" Taehyung's words trailed off after processing that the man living with them from the past four years is not Jungkook.

Janette looked at Taehyung with guilt but it doesn't repent all the sins she had committed till now.

"Everything started when we were running from the Cops and happened to see Jungkook with his girlfriend.We stalked him and got all the necessary information.Me and Joe managed to trick Jungkook's girlfriend.She was cleared from our way and then we kidnapped Jungkook.It was plus point of Joe that he knew sign language which helped him enter the Jeon Mansion without any problem.We only wanted to live a healthy life until yn caught Joe's attention"

Joe was an orphan, he never knew if his parents are alive or not because from a very young age, he had been living in a small city with other orphans.Maybe his parents left him here when he was born.He grew up fighting to feed himself atleast one time meal.Others used to call him names he shouldn't hear at such young age, he saw the dark side of world when the kids of his age used to play without having to worry about anything.He used to have a hope that his parents will come to take him back one day which never happened.He lost hope within time.

He somehow managed to get out of the orphanage which was a hell for him.It started from pickpocketing which turned to every other sort of crimes.Within all these years, he and Janette became a duo everyone feared or envied.

Even after all sort of crimes, he craved for love.It always pained him how everyone around him have someone to care about them.He never realised that his friendship with Janette could fill that void in his heart.She always cared for him or maybe loved him but he was blinded by the ideal picture he had in his mind of  'family and love'

Janette was happy when she met Jungkook's parents who showed her the love and affection she always craved.They never once made her feel left out.She was even more happy to see Joe getting the love he always wished.He was getting everything he ever wanted by pretending to be Jungkook.Janette didn't thought about Jungkook at all because she was greedy, be it love or money.They both were living the life they always imagined until yn entered the frame.

Joe could never stop himself from noticing every single thing the girl did.She was pretty for sure but what caught his eyes was the way she loved Taehyung.He admired her for long until his admiration turned to want then obsession.He started to imagine himself at the place of Taehyung, everytime Taehyung was close to her.He wanted to be the one with her.Taehyung and yn's bonding made him realise how much a person could love someone.He was jealous indeed so he did what he could to replace Taehyung and be the one to feel loved by her.

He only wants to feel loved by her, he doesn't even know the true meaning of love because if he did then he would've realised that he does not love her.It's all just a desire.

He got parents love, a friend's love, wealthy life but still his obsession ruined it all.His truth was bound to be revealed one day and it did by his own eagerness.

"I know what we did is unforgivable but I never intended to stoop this low.I only wanted to fulfill his wishes but I refused to accept we are on the wrong path and the time I realised, it was too late...I had ruined a happy family because of my selfishness" Janette said..

"Cut the crap, what did you do to Jungkook?" Yoongi exclaimed not believing that the girl in front of him is feeling guilty when she never stopped from ruining people's life by drugs.

"You both might've struggled to live but that doesn't give you any right to snatch others happiness to gain yours! Just do one favour and tell me where is my brother?" Taehyung asked looking straight at the girl who gulped before diverting her gaze.

Her silence was driving him insane.He abruptly got up from the chair and marched towards her.He slammed his palm on the table to catch her attention.His bloody eyes met her scared ones.

"Where is my brother?" He asked again, his piercing gaze made her shift in her seat as she thought of a way to get away from him.

"Where is my brother!? What did you do to him!? Tell me where is he!" He yelled having enough of her silence, his brother is in trouble from the past four years.Lord knows what he had gone through and what these two did to him.The thought of them hurting him like they hurt him is enough to rise his fear.

Officer Kim pulled Taehyung away and told him to sit back on the chair.Tears of frustration brimmed in the corner of his eyes as Janette still didn't utter a word.

What did we do wrong to deserve all this?

"Ma'am it will be better if you tell us where you've kept Jeon Jungkook or else I've to use other ways" Officer Kim exclaimed in a warning tone.

"I d-don't know" She answered.

"What the hell are you waiting for Officer? Use that damn gun before I do" Yoongi exclaimed frustratedly.He can never understand how Officers are always so calm in situations like this.If he was one of them, then probably he would've shot them in one go if they had refused to open their mouth.

"I really don't know..I went to the place where we kept Jungkook so I could release him and he will go back to Seoul then the matter would sought out itself without me having to get caught into the mess but he was not there....Joe must've tell one of his goons to shift Jungkook somewhere else or maybe.... maybe

to kill him"

"Hyung......he can't die...He can't" Taehyung mumbled, shaking his head while tears rolled down his cheeks.His hands started shivering.

"We will find him..Tae... Don't lose hope, you've to stay strong to find your brother" Yoongi tried to calm Taehyung.

"You shouldn't have leave yn alone with Joe...She is not safe with him" Janette said.

"As if we don't know already"

"How are we going to find Jungkook?" Taehyung mumbled before gripping the roots of his hair.

"Officer, Will you do your job?" Yoongi spat at the tall male who glared at him with narrowed brows.

"I would suggest you to stay in your limits or else I might've to lock you in the cell and for your kind information Mr.Min, some procedures take time yet I'm doing everything faster than your tongue.Miss Janette had given us some names which might help us find Jungkook" Officer Kim exclaimed before walking past by him.

"Hyung.... Jungkook is alive right?" Taehyung asked, his lips trembled as he tried to control himself from breaking down.

'I wish he is'
