It was a weekend, a very cold and snowy weekend.

Karl was sitting on the couch by the fireplace in the living room of his and Nick's house. He was wearing a purple sweater, and some black skinny jeans. He was leaning against the armrest, his knees pulled to his chest as he watched the fire, sipping on his hot chocolate.

Nick was up in his office, just finishing something up, he had promised that he would be done in just a few minutes.

Karl continued patiently waiting, spacing out a bit as he watched the fire, watching as it roared, the flames becoming bigger and smaller. He sipped on his hot chocolate a bit more, pressing his knees to his chest impossibly more, still feeling a bit cold, despite him sitting next to the fire.

A few minutes passed, Nick finished what he was doing, quickly turning off his computer and leaving his office. He swiftly made it down stairs, bringing a blanket with him so Karl and him could cuddle and watch a few movies. Nick happily walked to the living room. "Hey sweetie~" Nick spoke softly, moving to sit down on the couch.

Karl quickly looked to Nick, smiling happily as he moved to sit next to him, "Hey~" Karl spoke softly, resting his head on Nick's shoulder, moving to give him a kiss on the cheek, "is it cuddle time now? I've been so lonely waiting for you..." Karl whispered, nuzzling Nick lovingly.

"Of course it is love~ My work is all done~ we can spend as much time together as you want Baby~" Nick spoke softly, moving to gently place the blanket over the two as he pulled Karl close, "do you wanna watch a movie?" Nick question softly, already having the remote in his hand. Once he just got a nod from Karl he put on a movie, specifically Karl's favorite movie, 'The Titanic'. Nick always questioned why that was one of Karl's favorite movies, maybe because it was historical and a romance movie.

Karl smiled sweetly, turning his attention mostly to the movie, though he kept some attention still towards Nick, just wanting to shower the younger male in as much love as possible. He gave Nick occasional kisses on his cheek or neck, nothing too spicy, just little, gentle kisses.

Eventually the end of the movie came around, Karl was in tears, he usually was, because of the end of the movie with Jack's death. Considering that Karl was gay, he always had a major soft spot for Jack whenever Karl and Nick would watch Titanic. Nick was doing his best to comfort Karl, whispering sweet nothings to him, just wanting to show him that it was okay and that it was just a movie. And yet Karl almost refused to calm down, he just shook his head over and over, just more tears spilling down his face from his eyes.

Nick sighed softly, moving to pause the movie before the end scene. He pulled Karl impossibly closer, kissing the older boys hairline as he played with his hair a bit, "shh...shhh...i know it's sad I know...but it's okay...its just a movie...Jack in real life wasn't as handsome as Jack in the movie..." Nick whispered, just wanting Karl to calm down and relax in his arms.

"Shh....i love you....please calm down....it hurts me to see you so sad...."

Karl sniffled, moving to wipe his eyes a bit with his hand. He listened to Nick, just feeling bad that he had hurt Nick in any way. "I'm sorry....i didn't mean to make you sad....just....seeing Jack die hurts me...." Karl whispered, looking at Nick as he frowned a bit.

Nick just shook his head, moving to press Karl's head gently against his own chest. He combed Karl's hair with his fingers, being as gentle as possible, "shh...just relax baby..." Nick whispered, placing a kiss atop Karl's head. He went back to whispering sweet nothings. He didn't even realize that Karl had dozed off.
