My name is Walter Smith.
It was just a normal day during the school holidays and I am now boarding my plane to Australia. I went onboard with my parents and sat down on our sits.
The pilot announced our departure and half an hour later, we were off.
A few hours into the flight though, something began to go wrong, we heard an explosion and when we looked outside of the window, we saw that the engine was on fire.
The plane soon loosed altitude and it crashed into the sea, I died a quick death.
When I woke up, I noticed that my surrounding is white and that an old looking man is sitting on a chair infront of me.
"Hello, I know that you are confused and I can read your mind you know. So it was pretty bad of you to call me an old man. But anyway, I am what you humans call god and I want to give you another chance. You have excellent management skills and you play this video game called Cities: Skylines, right?"
"Well yes, but why give me a second chance? There are other people out there."
"You never did anything wrong in your life, you didn't have the chance to use your management skills to its fullest potential. So now I decided to give you the power in your favorite video game, Cities: Skylines. Of course you can't use the power yourself, I will give you this tablet where you can play just like in the game except that it will happen in real life in that world. I also added the game with military stuff. You will have enough resources to last you five years. After that, your city, no I mean your country should be self-sufficient. So your mission on that world will be to create the best country in that world and show the locals that they are not the best. I also equipped you with an A.I. that will advice you along the way. Now please choose what you want your country to look like. By the way, the locals can't see your country until five years later."
Walter looked at the list of territories available and chose a small continent with an island beside it.
(The continent is the one on the right that looks like a "C".)
"Nice choice, well I will tell you the location of your landmass in this world, it will be up north. Also, another thing about this world is that it is separated into four sections. There is the barbarian territories, where the people are nice but they don't have a lot of technologies. And there is the third civilisation, where it has technologies of the Napoleon era. The second civilisation has technologies of the first world war and the strongest nation in this civilisation is luckily not arrogant or racist, instead they are a mechanical nation that runs on science while the rest of the world runs on magic. This nation will probably establish diplomatic relationship with you once you appear in their world five years later. Last but not least, the first civilisation has technologies of the second world war. Now your landmass will be located in the second civilisation. Now take a look at the map of this world."
The map:
(Ignore Japan)
"But this is the world map in the light novel Nihonkoku Shoukan!" Walter said.
"Yes, it is. Your landmass will be located to the west of the second civilisation. The Gra Valcas Empire will appear south instead."
"I see."
"Well, good luck! You will be building your country in a dimension where you are the only landmass before being transferred to this world. By the way, Japan won't won't appear in this world and you will be transferred one year before the invasion of Qua Toyne."
And with that, Walter began his adventure.
