Your POV
I think I heard a noise upstairs it was-questionable, to say the least. The blonde boy, Dee, turned a bright, beet red color, and cursed to himself.
"Um.. one moment please-" he said.
I felt a bit bad for him really, I mean- who else wouldn't in this embarrassing situation.
He stammered awkwardly and murmured to my mom thank you again, looked away and shut the door on us. My mom and dad were puzzled, of course, to say the least, but not surprised.
I guess we left quickly as we came after that incident.
The next day..
I woke up the next morning, in bed and yawned. I'm still tired, but more famished than ever.
It's a school day. Having to meet new people in a new country and trying to make friends was a hassle.
Well, it's hard in general really.
I quickly put on something that is more simple, since I really don't want to attract even more attention as the new foreign kid in school, and just to blend in.
I simply don't want stuff happening at my old school again.
I ran downstairs, to see dad cooking an ordinary breakfast as usual.
I hastily ate my food, gobbled it down like a pig, and rushed out the door, only giving my dad a slight peck on the cheek before I go.
"Have fun sweetie, here's your lunch, and good luck"
"Thanks, dad."
I nervously walked on the sidewalk to school, when I saw the same blonde boy from yesterday arguing with a younger red-haired boy with green eyes.
I think they were arguing about a cat? I honestly don't know.
The blond boy averted his eyes from boy and noticed me walking towards him.
" oh, hi?", I said?
"..."
We stood in silence. Meanwhile, the red-haired boy looked at us, confused.
"Hey, Dee? who is this?"
".. just our neighbor."
"Well, doesn't seem like it, hmmm?.." he smirked and nudged Dee.
".. shut up."
Then the red-haired boy introduced himself enthusiastically to me.
"Hi!! My name is Heavy! This lame dude is Dee, I'm his younger brother!! What school are you headed off too, by the way what's your name? do you like cats? I don't know why my family hates them..."
Wow, this man is going on a tangent and kinda reminded me of a golden retriever. I couldn't really understand half of it, other than his name was Heavy, I think.
Somehow, I think Dee understood that I couldn't understand it all, maybe because of my puzzled expression?
sigh...
Then he translated it for me in English: "So, basically what my idiot brother here is saying what is your name, your school, and do you like cats."
His English was basically perfect, just with a slight accent. And-the fact that they were brothers were even more surprising because of the contrast in personalities. They also looked very different from each other.
So I used my best Russian to answer him.
"..Oh, yeah..um, my name is y/n and I'm going to ____________ school-"
I was cut off short by Heavy.
"WOw, you're going to our school??? Do you want to walk with us???" ignoring the fact that my Russian was garbage.
Dee replied tiredly: "Well, it seems like you're the new kid, huh. He really wants you to walk with us. Forgive my brother for being this way, he's not used to seeing foreigners. Oh yeah, can you forget what happened yesterday, that was-sigh ..just out of my control"
"Oh, yeah, it's totally fine.", just remembering what happened last night.
And so as we both started to walk to school, Heavy curiously asked many questions about where I'm from, my age, why I came here, and so forth, and Dee translated it for me simply on the way there.
