As we headed towards Dee's and Heavy's house, I wondered if mum and dad were going to get worried. It would be more of a bother if I told them about what happened, and I would have to move schools, again. I'm kind of curious to how their parents look like, well.. since I never got the chance to see their faces--
As Dee opened the door, to their house, we went inside.
It was empty.
"My parents aren't home yet, so we'll probably introduce you to them later, and the first aid kit should be..." Heavy said.
"Its in dad's office, can you get it Heavy?" Dee said tiredly, and sighing, with his hand creasing the corners of his eyes.
Dee really tends to sigh a lot, huh.
" Ok, fine..." he rolled his eyes and begrudgingly went.
When he left, Dee led me upstairs to his room. I was in awe with all the cool stuff I saw in his room.
"Hey, is that a Ryuk figurine?, excited to see another person who likes Death Note.
"Yeah, it is, I got it from online I guess." dee said nonchalantly.
On a different note, I was curious on why I've never seen him with a friend.
"Why do you have no friends?"
He paused for moment.
" Making friends is hard work, but having connections can be useful to oneself, as it could be used for several situations if things get out of hand. I choose not to have any friends because it's bothersome to deal with them in the end."
There was the awkward silence for a moment.
"I'll go clean your wounds first." gently setting me down on the ground.
He headed to the restroom, cleaned his hands, got some towels and carefully lay me down on them.
At this point, some of the less major wounds on my body dried up, and didn't need much pressure to stop bleeding.
He got a washcloth soaked with cool water and cleaned my bruisen face gently, which had only scratches on my cheeks, but big purple bruises on my eyes.
I could feel his warm breath on my face, and he got deeply concentrated on cleaning my injuries, staring intently, focused. I was a little uncomfortable, I'm not going to lie, but-now looking at him a little more, I'm surprised he's not popular at school. He's smart, handsome, mature, does self care, knows how to do makeup, etc..
But he sure was nihilistic in his ideology, so I guess people don't like him for that.
Dee stopped for a moment, putting the washcloth down and looked at his phone.
'You should probably call your parents and tell them you're hanging out at my house for fun and since it's the weekend tomorrow, I don't think they'll be suspicious. They also won't be worried because of how close we live next to each other."
"And for your injuries-let's just say you got really hurt trying out for the basketball team, and we wanted to cheer you up by watching a movie or something like that. I'm sure they'll understand because you are an actual huge klutz in reality." he smiled a bit, chuckling to himself.
For a moment there, my heart skipped beat.
Then realization kicked in.
"Wait a minute, has he seen me trip several times on the pavement while walking past me to go to class???"
Flustered, I looked away.
And then he stood up.
"Anyway, I'll go get an icepack for your eyes, and when Heavy gets here, make sure he doesn't do anything, he doesn't really know how to treat wounds properly."
At that moment Heavy bursted enthusiastically through the door.
"I finally found the the kit!!! It took a while, but I finally found it under the desk!!", waving the kit in the air like a flag.
Dee sighed once again, and simply trudged past him. "..I'll go get the icepack"
