I think I might like him a bit. Well, despite his overtly nihilistic and cynical attitude, he does seem like a decent guy to be around with. There was a sense of solitude every time I saw in him in the classroom.

A sense that I once used to be like him too.

And I sorta envy his family a bit. They all seem so...accepting and strongly bonded with one another. My family is kinda like that too but it's always quiet around the house. Mom is always busy with her work and I only see Dad at home making dinner. He seems exhausted all the time, balancing his work with home too since Mom doesn't have the time to go home. She almost always comes back late. So we don't actually get to talk that much or interact with one another after what had happened after my brother's death. They've changed.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who has moved passed his death or not.

 Or if it's the opposite.

As I head downstairs along with Dee and Heavy, miraculously able to walk without the support of Dee and Heavy, a heavy rich aroma filled the air.

It's steak.

My mouth watered. Heavy smiled grinning from ear to ear, while Dee smirked.

On the table, the steak was absolutely gleaming. I don't think I've ever saw my dad make steak like this before in my life.

"You can sit next to me, Y/n" Heavy said.

I was so mesmerized by the steak that I forgot that there was Dee and Heavy next to me.

I must have looked like an idiot.

"Oh yeah sure!!"

"My mom makes really good steak, so you're lucky that you get to try something like this, unless you're vegan or something"

"Oh I'm not vegan..." (If you're vegan/vegetarian then imagine her cooking something else.....)

"Well dig in kiddos!!!!!!"  Vicky said.

I sat down near Heavy and bit into the steak.

It was amazing.

"Wow!! this steak is pretty good!!" I exclaimed.

"I know right!! I told you so!!!"

"..."

Dee was pretty quiet, but it looked like he liked it too.

I couldn't really shake off the presence of their dad in the house. It creeped the hell out of me, like a dark shadow looming over their house. Other than that, he seemed nice.

While we were talking at the table, Vicky got drunk from beer and ate a lot of steak. She told me about how she kicked the sh*t out of some bunch of dudes who tried to make her to put out her cigarette and got to get away with it with some compensation.

Dee looked half annoyed but kinda smiled, Heavy looked proud of his mom, and I just thought she was badass.

****I'm sorry about the other chapters regarding Heavy's name being Metal. I kinda mixed it up with other stuff and didn't notice. I changed it a bit earlier to stop confusing people.

Other than that, Thank you for reading.
