Three

Jade

I was dreading this so much. Audrey told me everything was going to be okay, but who knows how he'd react.

We sat in our seats for first period and waited until he came in. When he did, I knew this was my cue.

"Mike" I say.

He looks at me. He looks dead tired, and under his eyes, there were black circles.

"Yeah?" He asks as he walked towards me.
"Um I thought about what you said, and I do forgive you. Hope sometime we can hang out like old times" I smile and he smiled back.
"Here's my number" He grinned and walked to his seat.

I look at Audrey as she smiled to me. Then turned back as class begun.

It was now lunch and of course the popular boys came in to make loud noises. One of them walked towards me.

"Jade Perez?" He asks.
"That's me" I said.
"You really are fucking hot, let's smash, bathroom" He whispers in my ear.
"Creep" I say.

That made him mad. Because all of a sudden I felt a pair of wrists grabbing me tightly.

"Back the fuck off Jason!" Audrey yells, causing the boys to stop and stare.

I tried pushing him but every time he just kept grabbing my wrist tighter.

"Jason she wants you to stop and that means fucking stop!" Yells Mike as he pushes him off.
"I just wanted a quick fuck in the bathroom man what the hell?" Jason was angry.

Mike looked at me but I got up and started walking fast to the bathroom. I could hear Audrey running towards me. But I couldn't look at her with all the tears in my eyes.

"Hey forget that bastard, he means NOTHING because he is nothing" She tried to assure me.
"I- I guess so," I frowned. I was still crying, and my mascara was running down my face. So much for today. At least Mike helped. "I think I'm just going to go home"
"I can come with" She smiles and I nodded.

We both walked out together and I was stopped by Mike.

"Hey Jade I'm really sorry for him back there" He seemed sad.
"No Mike thank you for helping" I hugged him.

I looked at my wrists and his face went pale. Bruises covered them. It looked like I was turning purple.

"I'm going home" I frowned again.
"I'll come with. I'll follow you guys" He smiled.

We all got into our cars and headed for my house. I wish this wasn't real.

As we all walked in, we walked up the steps, and into my bedroom where we found rooms for ourselves on the bed. Audrey sat as far away from Mike as she could. Mike was right beside me.

"Do you want me to get you anything at all?" He asks.
"No but thank you Mike, you've already saved my ass today" I chuckled.
"What did he say to you when he was whispering in your ear?" Audrey asks.
"He wanted to smash in the bathroom" I was disgusted.
"Men I swear" She says.

Mike scoffs at her and we all laughed.

"Our next game is coming up, do you guys want to go?" Mike asks.
"I would LOVE too!" yells Audrey.

I laugh at her as Mike was still waiting for an answer from me. I finally nodded then he smiles.

The rest of the day we just sat on my bed and talked about life. We talked until my mom got home. She went up to my room and smiled knowing Mike was there as we made up. She knew about what happened.

I got up and went into the bathroom to calm myself down by looking in the mirror.

Audrey

As Jade got up, I turned to Mike because so wanted to ask him something, without Jade around.

"Mike," I say.
"Hmm" He answers as he looks up.
"Do you have any feelings for Jade?" I ask.

He looks at me then looks away. I knew he was blushing.

"Maybe a little bit. But we just became friends again. I can't mess this up with her," He frowns. "Please don't tell her"
"I won't" I promised him.

Jade walks through the door and we all started talking again.

Those lovebirds. I hope they get together soon.
