Jade

I awoke to my little sister waking me up for school. My parents were always busy with their job so I knew I had to take her to school.

"Jade wake up I don't want to be late for school!" She yells still pushing me.
"I'm up Jessica, let me get dressed in stuff" I groan as she nodded then left my room.

I really hated going to school. That means seeing my old best friend Mike Vitar. I still remember that promise he made me, guess some things are meant to be broken.

I finally got out of bed and picked out a good outfit with some makeup. After brushing my hair and teeth, I grabbed my bag to head off. Jessica grabbed her bag and we left, making sure to lock the front door. We got into my mercedes that I got last year for my sixteenth birthday, and headed off to Jessica's school first.

As I dropped her off I drove to my school: St. Francis High School. I hated that school sometimes. The games could be fun, but the people were shit. Except for my best friend Audrey.

I parked my car and made sure it was locked before heading into the school. Chatters had filled the halls as I struggled to find my locker for my first period.

"Jade!" Audrey yells and she ran to my locker.
"Hey Audrey" I smile.
"Can you come to the football game tonight? Please!" She begs.
"There's a game tonight?" I was so confused.
"Yes, I know you don't like Mike anymore but please go, for me" She still begged.

Mike was my best friend in the whole wide world. We were inseparable, until he became popular due to sports and just left me behind.

"I mean I guess I'll go" I shrug. She squeals and hugs me while yelling, 'Thank you!'.

Since we both had first period together, Audrey and I would walk there. I also had that class with Mike, but he never really noticed me nor even cared.

I took my seat as Audrey took hers and class begun. The day felt slow but it was already lunch. Luckily I had it with Audrey.

"Why do you hate Mike so much?" She asks.
"I don't hate him," I assured her. "It's just we made a promise, and promise aren't made to be broken even if they are"
"I guess so" She says with a pile of salad in her mouth. I look at her in disgust then started laughing at her.

"WHO'S READY FOR TONIGHT?!" Yelled one of the popular football boys. The whole team was there, and the lunch room began screaming. God sometimes I hated when they did that.

I scanned the crowd for anyone but found myself looking at Mike who was talking to one of the popular bitches. Mind to tell you she's a hoe. I rolled my eyes at them and continued eating my food as Audrey was laughing at what the boys were doing. Finally the bell run that lunch was over so I raced to my next class hoping the day would just end faster.

Four hours later

I chose a cute outfit for the theme of the game. The theme was American so I wore my American flag crop top, short short blue jean shorts, and my red converse high tops. Then I straightened my hair more.

I knew this was going to be a bad idea, but you know I'm only doing it for Audrey. Luckily my mom was home so I didn't have to worry about Jessica.

When I got to the school there was plenty cars. Usually during a football game there's thousands of people. And this is California, of course there was going to be thousands of people here.

I paid my way in then went to find Audrey. She looked beautiful.

"Jade oh my god," She looked at me surprised. "You look absolutely gorgeous!"
"Says you" I rolled my eyes and she pulled me into the crowd.

Like everyone else, we were standing up to watch the game. The boys were running, then bam, touchdown.

"TOUCHDOWN KNIGHTS! NUMBER 30, MIKE VITAR!!" The speaker yells.

I hated that name but I'm glad our team was in the lead. I looked over at Audrey who was cheering with the crowd, then at the cheerleaders who started tumbling. I used to do cheerleading but quit when my parents started working more.

After the game was over, and we celebrated a nice victory, everyone started going home. It was hard getting out with all of these people but I someone managed to get out the bleachers.

Until I ran into someone. Someone that I never thought I would run into.

Mike Vitar.
