"I'm bored," Harry says, kicking his legs. 

"I know," Zain says, not looking away from his comic book.

"Zain!" Harry sighs. "We should do something. You've been reading all day."

"You can do something, I wanna read," Zain says, kicking his toes gently against Harry's thigh.

"But I wanna do something with you," Harry sighs, rolling onto his back. "We can go play football. Maybe Tommy and Liam will join."

"It's raining," Zain says, rolling his eyes at Harry. "You have looked outside, right? We'll be soaked in a minute."

"You're not coming up with anything," Harry sighs, poking his toe into Zain's leg again.

"Because I am already doing something," Zain says.

"Boring!" Harry complains in a sing-song. "We can ask the girls to play a game with us? We can put on a concert! We can get dressed up!"

"Okay," Zain says, because giving in was always easier with Harry unless it really mattered. And concerts were fun, Mum always loved to listen to all of them sing and watch the girls dance and Waliyha was now old enough to properly take part, not just hop around.

"You can ask them and set everything up."

"Okay!" Harry says brightly, getting up. "I'll be right back! Gemma loves dressing up, it'll be fun."

"Yea," Zain says, opening his comic book again when Harry leaves. He'll get a bit of  rest while Gemma and Doniya put Harry and probably Waliyha in make up and nail polish and one of their dresses.

"Do you want a make over as well?" Harry asks, poking his head back into the room. "Wali and me are getting one. I can have glittery nails, Gemma said."

"Nah," Zain says without looking up from his book. "I'm good."

"Boooring," Harry singsongs. He's used to it, though, always playing dress up with the girls and not with Zain and skips away without trying to get Zain to change his mind. 

"Have fun," Zain calls after him, scratching his nose. A bit of time to read without Harry wanting attention was almost like an holiday. He likes spending time with Harry, but it was nicer when he could read without Harry chatting to him. And they'd duet later and sing loads of songs and have fun. He smiles and turns another page.
