"an offer."

A GLASS THAT IS SHATTERED IS WORTH NOTHING. AL IT DOES IS HURT. AND IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AS BEFORE.
you felt yourself starting to shake, the mass of people made you anxious. your pace quickened, continuing to press through the hallways.
just as you were nearly starting to run you reached the outside. you chose to completely ignore cyno's advise from before, and decided that you could eat as soon as you got back to your dorm.
letting out a shaky breath, you squinted your eyes at the bright sunlight hitting your face. you shielded your eyes with your hands, trying to gain a clear view of the campus.
some people were scattered around the area, sitting in the shade under the trees, and sitting on the built benches around the terrain.
after a few moments, your eyes got used to the light.
you heard yourself sigh. only now did you feel how shaken up you got on the inside. your knees felt like jelly. the only thing you wanted right now was to let yourself fall under your bed and lay there the rest of the day.
but no, the world wanted you to do assignments like you only had one day left to live. deciding that you were going to try to romanticize your life, your eyes settled on a bench, not too far from where you were currently standing. it stood isolated, away from the huddled friend groups. there was a big and tall tree situated beside the table, it provided a cool shade.
with a slow pace, you walked across the courtyard, eyes fixed on the spot.
you felt gazes lingering on you, judging you from every direction. you were sure that you walked weirdly, or was there something on your clothes? maybe a stain? what if you were walking hunched over? quickly you adjusted your posture. but the feeling of being watched didn't leave. maybe your hair looked all greasy... even though you had just showered yesterday evening. what if they found you ugly? were you too fat? 'no no you look okay! stop telling yourself lies! they are not even watching you!' a part of yourself screamed at you.
'how would you know that...' the other side of your brain told you. there had always been a constant bickering going on inside your head. you had gotten used to it. the voices would criticize your every move, tell you you weren't good enough, asking you to kill yourself and end that worthless life of yours already.
it was exhausting to even exist. the voices would never die down. they only got louder and more prominent over time. they weren't voices of the unknown, you knew them all too well.
they belonged to you. the person that hated you the most was yourself.
the one holding you back was you.
