In Olivia's mind, she was a prisoner of Austin's; only being allowed to venture among the room that Austin had no so kindly locked her into. She hated him for the fact, and despised the room for its barren aspects and lack of furniture. The room only had a bed, two dressers, and a mirror with a small bathroom attached. She had thrown a tantrum for the longest of times but it did little to grab ahold of his attention, and when he finally came back for her, she paid him no attention.
"Are you hungry?" he had asked. She ignored him.
He repeated the question, and when he realized that Olivia was not going to answer, only then did he approach her. He took ahold of her chin like he had done before, and tilted her face to his. Except, she had closed her eyes in order to avoid his the depth of his brown orbs.
"I asked you a question," he said sternly.
Her eyes snapped open after that and she snapped, "And I chose not to answer."
"Well then," he sighed, letting go of her, "If you are not going to answer me then I guess I have no choice but to assume that you are hungry."
She was about to retort but before she could, Austin had wrapped an arm around her and easily picked her up. He carried her shocked form all the way down the hallway and down the stairs to where he practically dropped her into a chair within the kitchen.
Olivia watched him rummage through the cabinets and when he came back with a sandwich, dropping the plate before her, Olivia turned away in disgust.
"What is wrong?" He asked, confused, "Do you not like peanut butter and jelly?"
"No," she retorted, "I just don't enjoy eating food that has the potential of being poisoned."
Austin cocked his head to the side, making him look cute almost, and then he asked, "Would I really poison my mate?"
Olivia grunted at that, "I would."
This caused them to glare at one another for the longest of times, and when Austin finally turned away from her; he motioned to the food and demanded for her to eat it.
She awkwardly did, but enjoyed the triumphant feeling inside her that she was won this little battle. She was enjoying herself, making the most of unnerving Austin, and she would not stop until she got her way.
"Where are my friends?" She finally asked, her mouth full of sandwich.
"Don't worry," He assured her, "They are in good hands. Actually, I think that they are enjoying their vacation."
Her lips parted at that, as a pain of jealousy hit her hard. While she was stuck with this monster of a mate, her friends were not even sparing a thought to her. Instead, they were enjoying the vacation that she was meant to be having. It just was not fair.
Austin noticed the disappointment in her face and offered, "Do you want to go to the beach?"
Her lips parted more as she stared up at him, but then she shook her head and mocked, "No, I rather stay kept up in that room locked away like Rapunzel."
"Then maybe, my princess Rapunzel would like to take a break from her castle and venture to the beach?" He mocked back, but with kindness in his tone.
Olivia rolled her eyes, crossing her arms across her chest as she scrutinized Austin, "Fine."
He smiled at that.
