(Elliot's POV)

I walked out into my kitchen scratching my head as I saw an odd appearance in my kitxhen chair. All of sudden I felt loopy.

I walked up to the person as my eyes went foggy and all I could see was brown eyes stare at me, letting off a sweet smile. I caught balance and stood on the doorframe as the gentle figure stood up and become somewhat recognizable. He seemed soft and fuzzy, like I could hug him.

I walked to the figure as he came down and kissed my head leaving me to look up to him. "Elliot" he said. "Elliot" wait that's not...

I could feel my unconscious body move and heard a fainted voice shake me.

"ELLIOT"

I sat up quick breathing heavily. It was only Leah who looked aggravated and had her hands on my shoulders and one leg on the bed while the other was keeping her up.

"Elliot do you know what time it is?" She seemed angry and I couldn't think of any words. Leah was always so gentle I was pondering why she'd be so mad at me.

"It's 9 am. The doctor comes here at 10 are you crazy? You're gonna loose your chance to impress him, do you think he'll like you if he sees a crazy bed head walking up to him in pajamas?"

I shook my head out of exhaustion and my eyes widened, I found words but, sorta...words?...

"WHAT WNS UH HUH?" I spat out more words then my mind wanted. She looked at me confused as my cheeks grew pink and I sprung up from bed.

"OH YOUR RIGHT, DARLING" I said rushing to my woredrobe and trying to find a pair of pants that only a person who'd want attention wear.

I took out my brown/red pants and my white collared shirt, I put my red jacket over myself and rushed to zip up my pants as my hair brush handle was in my
Mouth.

I rushed to my mirror and combed my hair out as Leah came up behind me and placed a hand on my shoulder and she gave me a wink and thumbs up in the mirror.

"I'll see you outside the clinic then?" She said with a smirk as I just frowned "why does it have to be OUtside" I said pulling a knot through my hair.

"We don't wanna be late, do we?" She said and walked out my little cabin and shut my door and I let a sigh escape my shivering lips.

I finally made it out the door. My hands in my pockets getting sweaty and my legs shaking and almost cramping from how much my body has tensed up. I walked through the sand like I couldn't lift my feet, I gripped the hankercheif in my pocket and gritted my teeth.

I had the note in my pocket but was to scared to bring him all such a big gift in one day, after all I didn't want to scare him off and think I was some psycho.

I was walking across the bridge and stopped to look over. I watched the fish swim and the coral move back and forth from the friction the fish made. I stood there till a harsh laugh appeared by the lake.

"Hey Elliot, lookin to fish e?" He said with his jeans rolled up and his legs in the lake with his bucket and his fishing rod in his hands.

"Not right now Willy, I'm kinda in a rush to um. Meet the new doctor!" My words hissed and my throat got clogged. He looked at me about to say one more thing till I walked off in a fast pace not looking back.

I made it to the clinic side with Leah and she frowned. "The fruit?" She asked as I shook my head smiling a bit. "That's fine look he's about to come to the clinic in..hey look!"

She pointed to where the farmers house was and there he came, with a suitcase in hand and a hand gripping what seemed to be fresh coffee. My heart almost came out of my throat and did summersaults and cartwheels around him Jesus, I hated it.

Once he got closer me and Leah told eachother with our eyes to make a fake conversation till he was near to start a conversation with him. My eyes kept darting around the square till Leah looked beside us and greeted the man with a gentle wave and a 'hello!'.

"Heya! You must be the new doctor, I'm Leah" she said lending a hand as he smiled and set his suit case down.

"Nice to meet you, Harvey" he smiled as his ears perked up making me just stare until he locked eyes with me.

"Oh um" trust me when you see someone you like you'd never expect to forget your own name in a 100 years. "Oh I'm Elliot." I said with a hand out and when he shook mine I mistakenly gripped tighter and instantly took my hand away and put it to my pocket so I'd fidget with the piece of fabric in my pocket.

"Welcome to pelican town I'm sure you will love it" Leah smiled as a happy maru jumped out and hugged him.

"Oh Yoba! I can't tell you how happy I am to have a new assistant, it feels like I started this career all over again!" She shouted holding his sides as he just smiled and blushed. Somehow that made me back away a bit and just smile and it faded.

Maru took a look at me and she took her hands away from the older man. "Come on I'll show you your room and well the office!"

She took him into the building and I looked at Leah. "Imma just have some quiet time at Gunther's, I'll be there for some wine at the saloon tonight though" I said waving and walking off

Gunther's place was quiet and nice I always escaped there when I was uncomfortable. I walked fast cutting through lawns to get there and passed penny on the bridge who gave me a wave and man I feel bad for not returning it. If I weren't gay I'd love to have a family with penny but she's not my type in looks nor, personailty.

I walked into Gunther's and edvoided conversation and walked to my usual spot and grabbed any book and just sat there. Not even reading a word. I was to embarrassed to think about romance.
