Out of nowhere

32 - not another hospital

Stephanie's pov

My body felt cold, my head hurt, I tried opening my eyes but the bright lights forced me to close them again with a groan.

Not again, I thought.
I hate hospitals, if I never had to go in one again I would be more than happy.
Then again though I don't remember hospitals being this cold I'm not dead am I?

As I tried opening my eyes again , blinking to get my eyes to adjust I saw many people watching me, two among them where my siblings.
'ugh creeps, do you and them all have to stare' I mumbled in my mind
'Well yeah, we want to make sure your ok star' Ollie replied
'You've been out for 2 hours' caitlin added to which I nodded
Then my gaze went to the 5 other people in the room.
'they don't look like doctors' I said to which my siblings laugh at me and I realize my hearing aids are turned down , I reach my hands up to adjust them and realize there gone.

Now I had no chance of hearing and I can't talk to the other people, I started to panick.

Sensing this my siblings moved to my side making a dark haired beardie guy and a blonde short hair guy step forward, there mouths moved like they wanted me to lip read, which I've had no luck in learning as of yet, so I look to my siblings for a hand in helping communicate.
'just let him come closer and do something' Caitlin smiled, to which I must have looked a little alarmed at her as Ollie then added 'dont worry it's something good' which helped a little.

Seeing my anticipation the dark beardie guy gave something to the blonde guy and the blonde guy approached moving to my side , as he fiddled with something in his hand I looked around the room, quite fancy but not like any hospital I've ever seen, but soon warm hands touched my left ear fiddling with it but soon I felt something sitting in my ear, to which he moved to my right and did the same.

I must've looked confused as he then brought my hands to my ear, they felt like hearing aids but Different, smaller.
Instead of the horrible holds all your ear kind that beeps alot, this fitted inside the ear hole, I won't know if this beeps yet I guess. I looked back at him, and he took my ears flicking what I guess to be the on switches.

"Testing testing 7,8,3,4" the blond guy said, which I heard clearer than I think I ever had before
"Isn't it ment to be 1,2,1,2 blonde" I said
"It works , I know I'm awes-" the dark beardie guy said getting cut of by a deep rumble and some clashes of thunder, making me jump in my seat.

"Don't worry kid, it's just the gods making an entrance" the dark beardie guy said, starting to walk out the room, "well come on then everyone, I'll make a group introduction so everyone can know everyone" he said as we followed.
