Out of nowhere

43 - it's ok

Loki's pov

When the meeting was finally done everyone got up and left but Stephanie was frozen, staring at the table.
"Darling, are you coming?" I said to which I got no response
"Darling?" I said Softly, gently resting my hand on her shoulder, that snapped her out of the staring contest with the table, but i noticed tears bubbling at her eyes, "hey , should we go somewhere else and talk" I said quietly just wanting to help her feel happy again, needing her to feel happy again.

As she nodded I took her hand and teleported her to my room, she didn't seem fazed that I could do that as well , something must be wrong.
I sat her on my bed, plopping myself next to her, looking at her, my heart broke abit when she instantly started crying, envelope her in a hug, letting her soak my shirt with tears , i just sat there, rubbing the back of her head gently.
Eventually the tears got slower and I kissed the top of her head before bringing myself away abit so I could look at her .

As I looked at her tearstained face, i noticed how beautiful she still looked, as I wiped the tears away.
"I it's all my fault" she stuttered
"No it's not" I said
"H he killed m m um because of me" she said
"She died protecting you, it's not your fault."
"If we didn't need protecting she'd be fine" she cryed
"A mother's job is to protect, it's not your fault your father gave you powers , its his fault" finally she nodded giving in and I went back to hugging the comfort into her.

We must've stayed that way for so long, I had watched the sunset and sky go dark, as she had snuggled closer into my side, falling to sleep in my arms, how I wished I could do this more, I was thinking as I kissed the top of her head saying a gentle "sleep well love, your safe with me".
