As I open my eyes to the world around me I see the apartment that was Ollie , Caitlin and mines chared and smoking, some bits still glowing orange.
I ache but on closer inspection I have no wounds. my powers are very useful.
Out of the corner of my eye I see something move, and snap my head that direction.
It's a guy in a suit, must be a fire fighter suit with all the masks and stuff, he has what looks like a weird coloured fire extinguisher, probably putting out the ones he finds along the way.
He must have noticed me , I mean I was still kinda propped against a wall at this stage.
On his approach he takes his mask of, his lips moving but nothing coming out, that's strange I thought, I looked at him confused and he did some hand jestures , oh I think he wants me to leave, so I get up slowly, and hobble over to him, maybe he lost his voice I know I would if I had to wear a mask like that and go into smokey builds , wait I'm in one, can I speak, my throat is getting a bit sore from the smoke now, I must've let my powers have a break.
When he helped me outside I realized the air was abit fresh , that's annoying my jacket is probably very Crispy by now.
He walked me over to the ambulance, where they started looking me over, checking my heartbeat stuff like that, there lips where moving too but again no sound came out.
"Can you talk with noise please?" I said, to which I got some weird looks and the ambulance lady checked my ears and got a note pad.
I assume she was taking notes but , she was still talking without words and I was getting frustrated, eventually she handed me her note book and it read
'we are taking you to Chicago med , they will check out your ears as you aren't hearing anything but apart from that you seem fine which is odd as you came from an explosion, do you remember anything' I nodded, but let out a sigh, back to the hospital, fun.
When we arrived I declared in my mind that I've been here to much for my liking but as we entered the hospital I waved at my brother and he rushed over quickly with a doctor they where talking and I felt left out, I tried to read there lips but it's harder than I thought so here's how my guessing goes,
'what happened, are you ok?' Ollie said to me
The doctor then says 'we are gonna fix her up cos I'm awesome and a great doctor'
'thanks mate, your awesome, so am I and my little sis here is definitely most awesome' Ollie replies.
Ok so maybe my guessing wasn't great but it was fun.
I got taken to a room where another doctor came in, and then the younger one from when I was talking to that Charles guy.
This sucks , there all talking and i feel bored and just left out.
'ollie??' I said through our mind link wondering if it would work
'yeah star, how you feeling' he replied and relief washed over me
'alright for the most part but everyone is moving there mouths and I feel left out' I said
'hey it's ok, I heard about what happened, they said you where so close that you might find it hard to hear , but we can find a hearing aid to help, it'll be alright' Ollie reassured
'we need to talk about that later, it's important' I stated
'ok, I have to work now but any problems just talk to me through the mind link seeing as that works' he said to which I nodded but I assumed he didn't see so I replied
'yeah ok , love you brother'
'back at you star, but you took a bit to reply, I'm guessing you forgot I couldn't see you, again' he laughed
'damn I'm too predictable' I stated
