As I sat on the stair waiting to go home, a few people walked by and several carriages drove by. I was getting quite bored until suddenly mother and father came out through the front door.
Mary: there you are? Are you ready to go home?
Lilith: (gasp) YES!
We got in our carriage and left to go home. When we got there, I ran as fast as I could to my room and yanked my pillow off the bed. There was a letter underneath just as Samuru had said. I took it an ripped it open to see what the paper said inside.
Dear Lilith,
I know right now you're at a young age, and hopefully your enjoying yourself to the fullest. I'm glad to have met you at the tea party, even if it was by your summoning. Please know one thing. DO NOT get to attached to this life. You will have many more and one day my sister may attempt something on your life. As to my absence of not being summoned by you. I will be gone for a period of time from the heavenly realm. I will be on the earth from your first life to do some unattended business for several years. On your seventeenth birthday I will come back at meet you at your party. I'll bring you gifts and sweets, so in return have lots of food there for me to eat.
Love, Samuru❤️What? That's NINE YEARS! I don't want to wait that long! That's too long actually. I already waited for a few years when I was born to speak. You never replied so I gave up. Then there was today, where I finally met you again. And now I have to wait! UGH! Despite not having to see him for such a long time, I guess it would be worth it if he came with gifts. Not to mention sweets. Now I just have to wait. Wait nine years that is...
With me having to just pass the time away, I continued my studies as I planned. My teacher were still impressed that I was able to comprehend my studies so quick that I was able to move onto levels that were far ahead of me. I was like a six year old girl in a 8th grade class. It felt really nice for a while, but when I got into the nobility memorizing, it's like my brain shut down and I didn't want to learn it. I also continued sword fighting and with father's help I was able to train with a high ranking soldier from the royal palace. He taught me many things, and soon I was able to defeat six of father's men all on my own. I also took up some normal fighting skills in case I didn't have a sword when I met Talia. To be honest, I was quite scared for the day I would meet her, and almost every week the thought came across my mind a few times. Sometimes I wouldn't even sleep at night because of the thought. I suppose the would just come one day and I would die so just like in the letter I shouldn't get arroyo anyone. As the years past I learned that being a shut in wasn't the greatest choice. I went to school and met a few people there, but not ones I would call true friends. But, there, I did meet a boy named Floyd. He was a bit shy, but when you got to know him he opened up a bit more and almost seemed like a chatter box. He was also supper tall, like 6"1 so he always had to look down on me, and he was quite handsome up close if you moved his hair. We met when I was ten and I first went to school. He was alone during break and with no one around I thought I would give it a chance to at least gain one "friend" so I wasn't always lonely. We've been friends since then and we just stuck like glue. We went everywhere together and even trained together. Now we were sixteen and it was a few weeks before my seventeenth birthday. Mother and I were sent to go looking at dresses and I took Floyd with me.
Mary: hmm? I don't think we should go with a blue gown. It looks kinda gloomy.
Lilith: I-It does?
Mary: yes! Don't you think Floyd?
Floyd: . . . umm . .
Lilith: mother~ Floyd doesn't care about the colors~
Mary: Then why did you bring him?
Lilith: Because he'll know when it's the right dress!
Floyd: so I have a better fashion sense than you do?
Lilith: Exactly!
Mary&Floyd: heh~
Floyd stood up from his seat and walked over to the seamstress we had in the corner. Then he took out some pieces of paper he had and showed them to the seamstress. She gave a gasp then looked at Floyd.
seamstress: This. . . This is beautiful. Did you design it?
Floyd: (nods)
seamstress: goodness. Now I have no choice but to make this dress! It'll turn out absolutely beautiful. Leave it to me!
The seamstress took the paper Floyd had and went to the back to do something. Mother and I gave a questioning look, as the room was silent, until finally mother spoke up.
Mary: what, was on the paper?
Floyd: I dress I drew a while ago. I've been fixing it up and I think it'll be nice of Lilith. (smiles and blushes)
Mary: ah, (sigh) then I guess there's no choice but to go with that dress. Even the seamstress said so herself.
Lilith: wait! Is it long? Does it have huge sleeves?! Mmmm? I don't want it to have giant puffy sleeves~
Floyd: I doesn't have anything you don't like on it. I made it specifically for you to wear.
Mary: can you at least tell me the colors so I can tell the decorators?
Floyd: Red and gold~
Mary: oh good, then at least it'll match Lilith's complexion.
After that we left the shop and went home. Mother went to the decorators to give them the ideas for the party and to have them start start planning. Since I was already sixteen mother wanted me to have a debutant party. But father and I got through to mother and convinced her to only have one party, for both occasions. This would be the day that society would finally know who I was. I obviously didn't want to do this knowing Talia was out there. If she knew where I was she could kill me any moment. But I guess that was the pain of growing up. Floyd and I went upstairs to my room and I had a maid bring up some tea. I threw myself onto the bed and soon after the maid came in and poured Floyd some tea. She left and Floyd sat down at a table in the room. I noticed that as Floyd was sipping his tea he was staring over to where I was so I turned my body to face him and gave a look.
Lilith: what?
Floyd: hmm? No, nothing.
Lilith: well your looking at me, so is there something wrong?
Floyd: . . . I-I can stare at a beautiful person?
Lilith: !!?! What? Me?! (Sigh) I'm not that pretty ya'know. There are tons of other pretty girls. Especially at school.
Floyd: I know there are pretty girls, but I think you're prettier. Heh
Lilith: . . . .
Both Floyd and I were red and we looked away from each other so we couldn't see our faces. Floyd went home soon after and I tried to forget about what had happened that day. After that the weeks I had left till my birthday flew by and soon it was merely hours away to when the driest guest would arrive. I was upstairs getting ready and the dress that Floyd had designed can up from downstairs. I put on the dress and had a maid do my hair while another tried to put makeup on me. I never liked makeup, but thankfully they put the minimum on with just eye shadow and a little lipgloss. Bleh~! Then I went downstairs to greet the guest as they arrived. As they came in most of them complimented my outfit and a few older men that were friends of fathers asked if my sword fighting was coming along. I replied happily to their comments and when they left I kinda felt sad that I wouldn't be able to talk to them about it anymore. Then Floyd's family came and as soon as he saw me he gave a smile.
Floyd: do you like the dress?
Lilith: I do~
With most of the guests inside I departed from the entrance and Floyd and I sat down at a table to talk. It was quite boring at first but then suddenly, things began to go silent.
