CH4: Confronting The Enemy

Sorry I haven't posted in like  months, I was thinking of a way to move the plot, then I forgot about it. You guys made me do this. Okay, so Matthew decided to be annoying last year, so let me put extra effort into this chapter. >:)  It might get a bit interesting... 

Jessica POV

We were sitting class, chatting like always. That was until our Grade Head, Miss Pink, our Maths and Natural Sciences teacher, walked in for Maths. She then told us about a mid-year camp to this theme park named Akuma Castle. It had loads of fun activities, great food and a crap ton of housing. 

"And, this is a treat for you guys since you've been through so much," she glares at Zack and his friends and then Mr. Batman.

Obviously we all decided to go. All we had to do was show up and we'd be taken there.

We finally went to Akuma Castle. It was a load of fun. We ran around looking at cool attractions, ate some amazing food and met the lord of the castle himself. I swear, some people couldn't keep their awful thoughts to themselves. EHEM, Emihle!

Night seemed to descend quite quickly at Akuma Castle. Everyone retreated to the cabin area center, where everyone could meet up and do whatever. It was kinda like a main hall in a way, with the cabins being next to it on each side.

Sophie POV

We were at this place called "Akuma Castle" for the weekend. It was mostly fun. We ran around and explored a little, it was a school trip. We were in the main hall, playing Seven Minutes In Heaven. To decide who went with who, we had to spin a glass bottle we got from the kitchen. The order of the pairs was:

Daniel and Zack;

 Mila and I;

 Zenande and Josh; 

Monique and Matthew...

After enough time, Matteo had to spin. The bottle spun around and around before finally landing on ..

Kajsa...

Matteo glared at Kajsa before slowly standing from his seat and walking over in the direction where she was heading.

Matteo POV

We were playing some stupid game as a class, minus a few people. I only came here because Matthew had convinced me to. We eventually decided to play Seven Minutes In Heaven and would use a glass bottle to decide who went with who. After a while, it was my turn to spin the bottle. I held out my hand and spun the bottle clockwise. It kept spinning until it landed on someone, Kajsa. 

I practically despised her. I glared at her as she stood up and walked to the closet where the game would be played. Her hand moved to the door knob and opened the door, entering soon after. I stole a glance at Matthew only to find him staring at her. 

Why her and not me? I'M his friend, not her. I scoffed and stood up, making my way to the closet. I quickly shut the door behind me. I heard murmurs and many other whispers outside after I did so. I turned to look at Kajsa, I swear I saw red. She made my blood BOIL. 

Kajsa POV

I stood there, quietly. The whisper and giggles outside the closet made the silence inside more obvious. We stood there, staring at each other in utter silence. That was until he spoke.

"So, what's the deal with you and Matthew?" he spat, venom dripping from his voice. This honestly shocked me, seeing him being so cold. But somehow, my cheeks heated up at the thought of having a relationship with Matthew... 

I quickly realized I had been drowning in my thoughts as Matteo cleared his throat, instantly dragging me out. I needed to think of a quick answer, something to not make him think I'd like someone like Matthew.

"U-Uhm... There's nothing! I don't like him! We don't have a relationship! We have nothing! I don't know why you think there's something between us! Actually, why are you so interested in our relationship anyways..."

Something about my answer didn't seem right. Almost as if I said a lie or maybe it hurt more than any lie. I couldn't put my finger on it though... 

Matteo looked at me with a slightly unimpressed look, scoffed and looked away. I took that as a sign that he took my answer. A wave of relief washed over me and I sighed as a result. This small interaction didn't save us though , since we still had a few minutes. The silence filled the room once again and that made things more awkward.

"Hey, Matteo..." I stared at him as he moved his gaze from the door to me, his gaze still ice cold. 

"If I may ask, what is your relationship with Matthew?" 

This seemed to drag a reaction out of him. He stood there staring at me, wide-eyed. He then stared in deep thought. The question must've struck him since he looked like he actually had to think about it. 

"I'm sorry for asking, this might be something you haven't had to think about..." 

"No, no. It's actually fine. I just hadn't had to think about it much..."

I looked at him in surprise, would I be able to get closer to one of Matthew's friends? Maybe if I got closer to them, I could get closer to him... 

I shook my head as I quickly realized what my thoughts were turning into. Me, Matteo, Josh, Robbie, Diego and I, friends. I gagged at the thought. Matteo cleared his throat and opened his mouth to speak, but he was rudely interrupted as the door was slammed open revealing a tired looking Felix, who simply glared at us.

"Time's up. Please get out." Matteo and I had similar reaction as we both glared at him. He turned around and got up to leave. We exited quickly and as I did, it felt like I was breathing in fresh oxygen since ages.

I went back to my seat by my closest friends, Tiana and Miche'. I felt a lot more comfortable sitting with them than in a dark room with Matteo. I felt a bit tired and so I told my friends I would be heading to bed and took my leave.

Matteo POV

Sitting in there with Kajsa was terrible. If I can say something came out of this, it would be that I can say with confidence she is into Matthew. Yeah, that "act" didn't fool me. She seemed really intent on convincing me that that there is truly nothing between them.  I now have an idea of how she feels. 

Maybe, I could use this to my advantage...

Heyo, again, I'm really sorry for how long it took for this part to come. I really just didn't do write for months and I actually thought people forgot about it. Turns out you guys have been waiting patiently for the next part. Well I'm back with another chapter for you all! Hope you have a decent day or night.
