Mono x reader (A time drifter)

Saving Six ~part 2~

Mono and I sat behind a small clutter of books trying to hide from that evil giraffe lady.

She stopped for only a moment to look around then she took her leave through a door.

And, instead of walking the opposite way to look for some kind of vent... mono thought it was a good idea to go through the same door as that teacher had gone previously.

Even though I 'Highly' disaggreed I still followed him. Because, with him I had a better chance of survival, with him and I working together we can find and save six.

But his plan backfired because she tightly shut the door on us. I again suggested that we got find a vent or what not but he ignored me. Instead he grabbed a box and dragged it to the door to open the handle.

Once he accomplished that, the door was open and we traveled inside.

We walked through some kinda victorian style lobby or lounge. To be honest it was a beautiful place besides the never ending darkness, dust, death... Its pretty nice.

Standing there just taking it all in, I couldn't help but wonder what this place used to look like when it was filled with life.

Maybe the air was breathable and not so thick. Or maybe it was bright and full of laughter.

Who knows, but for some reason I can't shake this fimiler feeling like ive been here before. Being here in the place...with mono. 'Speaking of mono where is he?'. He was nowhere in sight, and I started panicking.

'He wouldn't leave me here alone would he?, does he not need me anymore or does he trust me enough to be by myself?'.

I was looking around frantically for him but I couldn't see him anywhere. A few seconds later I could here pitter patter of tiny feet running around above me.

Snapping my head upwards I saw some glass bottles moving, some almost fell over the edge.

' Okay now im for real freaking out!', I thought frightfully.

Thats when I heard mono call out to me ... His call soundes urgent.

"HI!, HEY HEY , HEYYY! PSST PSSSSST!!". he called.

A wave of relief hit me like a freight train. I turn to meet his figure standing proudly at the top of the stairs.

Smiling I went to take a step towards the stairs when my vision jumped. A sudden white flash came into my sight.

I opened my eyes to a bright sunny room full of laughter and life. But, everything seemed to go into slow motion.

Looking around I see all these children walking around, talking and playing together.

"Hey!", a fimilar voice called.

And I again found myself looking a top the stairs to find a boy with dark brown hair that covered his eyes, his paleish skin, the same boys uniform these kids were wearing.

Distracted by this boy I didn't even feel my body moving, reaching out to him. As I kept reaching my hand forward, leaning towards his presence.

That was until I felt something grab my hand.

"Y/n?. . . you okay?"

Sadly the once peaceful atmosphere returned to its darkened state yet, I felt it peace.

"Huh?, Uh Yeah...im fine"

I couldn't stop thinking about these visions. Are they memories?, or are they like glimpses into a different reality. All I know is, I never want to stop having them.

                          -Time skip-

Up these dirty and dusty stairs Mono and I ascended to the upper balcony level.

Looking around here I saw nothing but doors , a couple of plants, and millions of empty beer bottles. But, Mono seemed ... different in a sense.

He didn't seem tense or on guard, he seemed to be relaxed and unbothered. Which to some people it would be a good thing. But in a hell hole like this... Being relax is at the least of your worries.

I didn't say anything because this could just be my nervousness talking. Hopefully...

Mono suddenly grabbed my hand and ran to the other side to this ominous door.

We just kind of sat there staring at the door, almost expecting it to open and something to pop out behind it.

But of course nothing ... Nothing happens. Its just mono and I standing in complete silence.

Since mono was still holding my hand i gave his a tight squeeze which he returned. This small gesture gave both an ounce of comfort.

"Maybe we should take a break...you know to catch our breath. I have a bad feeling we'll need it when we go in there."

I looked at mono and gave a slight nod of understanding.

" Yeah, okay.."

We walked under a small dresser/table for a makeshift base. Mono sat down first resting his back against the wall while I followed after him. He ushered me to sit near him.

And when I did he gently guided my head to his shoulder while he rested his head on mine. And we slept... Just for a little while.

'Dont worry six, we'll find you soon',I thought as I let sleep take me over.

Sorry about the short chapter and the long wait. Ive been really busy lately and I finally had a chance to update this scrappy chapter ... So if yall find any spelling errors just DM me and ill fix them later.

Again im sorry for not updating ... Im going to find time to update some more longer and better chapters in the future.
