𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏𝟗, 𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟐

A little boy stands on a chair, which seems to be unstable

He reaches for the jar of peanut butter in the cabinet

Just as he hooks his hand around it, one of the chair legs break

He falls, but he doesn't hit the ground

He opens his eyes to not a man, not a woman, but a simple being holding him in it's arms

Suddenly, the boy is on the couch

He doesn't know how he got there, but he's grateful that he is

The sound of hover cars passing by the window can be heard in the kitchen

An old man sits on the sofa, in his last moments

For years, he has been suffering from a terrible brain disease from head trauma

Just as the man thinks it's time, the front door opens

In comes not a man, not a woman, but a simple being

The being takes the old man's hands

and takes him to a river

Once there, the being disappears and the man is left alone

He looks into the water and focuses on it

In the reflection, the old man can see his parents crying

In front of them stood a gravestone with his name on it

The old man remembers everything

He reaches his hand in the water and pulls out a jar of peanut butter

The parents of the little boy sob as he is being lowered into his grave.

No words were spoken, and no smiles were present

The gravestone read,

"𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐲𝐡𝐚𝐰𝐤,

𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐧"

Soon, the mother and father pass away, too

Their last request was to be laid to rest beside their late son

The old man felt a tear roll down his face

as for he has been dead this whole time

He visits the grave seen in the reflection

and there stood his own grave stone

The old man felt weak as he lets out cough after cough

Suddenly, he fades away

to a place where he belonged 70 years ago

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲

An old woman walks to the grave yard

She recently lost her daughter to an accident

She bent down upon her grave to put a bouquet of roses in front of the stone

Her daughter's favorite

As she got up to leave, she stared at something

It was a seemingly old gravestone with nothing in front of it,

nothing but a peanut better jar that looked to be from the 70's

She smiled softly and turned around to the direction of her car

After she left, the faint silhouette of a girl with dirty clothes that were shredded could be seen

A simple being put it's hands on her should and they walk toward a nearby lake
