— 017 ☆ seventeenth chapter.

"so what's going on with you and yeosang?"

seonghwa groaned and eyed his friend, mingi, in the passenger seat. "well we've been on a few dates by now, we've only kissed like a couple of times."

mingi widened his eyes in shock, "that's all?"

"what do you mean 'that's all'?! i'm trying my best, okay? yeosang is shy."

the tall male scoffed, "so was hongjoong, but it took me no time to be with him!"

"that's because you're song mingi! this is different." he sighed.

"true, i guess not everybody can be as incredible as the song mingi." the younger boasted with a proud smirk.

"yeah." seonghwa rolled eyes playfully, "now will you get out and help me pick out these things?"

seonghwa had spent his entire day out with mingi, and now it was almost time to put his plan into action. today was the day that'd he ask yeosang to be his boyfriend officially. they'd been dating for a while now, and it seemed to be going well, so he had little to no worries about his plan.

yeosang wasn't the type to want a lot of fancy or extravagant things, so seonghwa thought of the perfect plan.

that's why he was currently on his way to yeosang's house to pick him up and take him back to his place, so they could watch a movie.

when he arrived, yeosang was already on the porch waiting for him. waving eagerly, he made his way to the car.

"simple date at your house today? i'm excited! although it was a little short notice." yeosang kind of greeted as he buckled his seat belt.

simple date alright, seonghwa thought to himself.

"yeah, sorry about that." he apologized sheepishly as he started driving again.

he hadn't even thought about confessing today until he called mingi and jongho, and the others had suddenly lit a fire under him. it was also the cause of him and mingi going to the store earlier, as he needed to prepare for later, with some moral support.

everything was going as planned for seonghwa. the date was going smoothly as the two boys were cuddled up in seonghwa's bed, watching some romcom that the younger decided to play. however, he wasn't really paying attention to it, rather paying attention to how cute yeosang looked since he was so invested in the movie.

who would miss an opportunity to study yeosang up-close? not seonghwa, that's for sure.

it was getting late, and the last credits of the movie were rolling. seonghwa thought it was the perfect time to confess.

"the movie was so good, hwa! even though i think i heard a bit of snoring from beside me." yeosang chuckled as he turned to face his date.

seonghwa frowned, it was true. "hey! i was sleepy." he faked a yawn, to which yeosang just laughed harder at.

"actually, before i take you home, there's something i have for you..."

"really? i don't have anything for you though..." the blonde responded back. he became intrigued at seonghwa's last statement.

"don't worry! i- i don't need anything in return." the older smiled as he picked up a small box off of his dresser, handing it to the boy in front of him.

yeosang's gaze shifted in between the box and seonghwa, excited to see what the box contained. not wanting to waste any more of the time they had left together, he opened the box quickly.

"what— oh my gosh hwa?"

in the box there was 4 bracelets: made by seonghwa. they each were in one of yeosang's favorite colors, with charms to match, and they read as the following;

"will you

be my

boyfriend,

yeosang?"

the one that read yeosang's name was red, and it was accommodated by hearts and some glittery beads.

"well? will you be my boyfriend, yeosang?" seonghwa repeated the question as he watched yeosang lift his head up from the gift.

a pink shade dusted over his face, "of course i will!" he said as he engulfed the other in a hug, shortly followed by seonghwa pulling away and kissing him.

they pulled away a little bit after, to catch their breaths. yeosang slipped the red bracelet on and smiled back up to seonghwa.

"i'm never taking this off you know."

"well i'm glad my boyfriend likes it so much."

yeosang nodded with a shy smile, "i like it almost as much as i like my boyfriend."
