Naihe silently led Weiwei to their in-game house where the rest of their normal party members were anxiously waiting for him to return. They had hoped that Naihe would regroup here since he disappeared. He wasn't answering his phone outside the game and the three of them were starting to get concerned. Mo Zha Ta was the first to see them come up the wake way and yelled for his other two brothers to look.
"Third bro, what happened? You were about to kill the boss and then you up and vanished. We nearly wiped. How did you teleport while in battle? That shouldn't be possible." Houzi Jiu ran up to the pair.
Naihe paused before his dorm mates' alter egos. "It's not important at this time. Weiwei and I need to quest to improve our couple rating. It's top priority. I need you to message me in game all the difficult quests the harder the better. I won't be available by any means but by game." His tone brokered no argument. The three brothers knew better than to question Nai when he spoke in that tone. He was up to something that they didn't understand but figured that it would be for his advantage in something somehow. Once Xiao Nai got their confirmation he gestured for them to leave him and Weiwei alone. He knew that they needed to talk and was not sure if PMing her would work with their current predicament. He was not about to test it with the other three around.
Once the three other men left he pulled out a chair for Weiwei to sit while he took the seat across from her. "I guess the change of appearance only applies to those who are affected." he gave Weiwei a reassuring smile and focused his full attention on her.. "I know you have many questions, as for why we and your guild..."
"Former guild." Weiwei corrected softly. Still a bit raw from today's events.
"Former guild." he corrected and filed that bit of information away until after Weiwei got her questions answered first. "Are currently trapped in the game I couldn't say. I can make an educated guess but I would not want to accuse without proof. However, if what I am thinking is correct. Being stuck in the game is the least of their problems. Ask whatever questions you have for me, please ask. I will answer what I can."
"You said, you've known who I was for a while... how?" was Weiwei's first question. It was puzzling her since they walked out of her former guild hall. The only people who knew her avatar handle were her roommates and that was really because she had to explain why all the handles that she gave them to use in that internship interview all had the same surname. She actually used one of her alternative handles in her interview so it couldn't have been that.
Xiao Nai smirked of course she would ask that. He figured that the more information that he gives to his wife the more at ease she would be with him. Especially since how today's events have gone. He wasn't normally this talkative but he would make due like he has always done. This is after all for Weiwei.
He took a moment to compose what he was going to say in his head. His original plans of revealing who he was he didn't plan on giving Weiwei as much information at once as he was going to tell her now. "Weeks ago I was just finishing up a meeting with my uncle in Acme Internet Cafe. He had to take a call and while I was waiting for him to finish up I saw out of the corner of my eye delicate fingers fly across the keyboard with such speed and command I took a step closer to see what her game name was. Imagine my surprise when I logged on later in the day and discovered that she was on the same server as me and newly single. When she finished playing I was able to get a look at her face. I had logged in multiple times looking for her and it was just good timing that I saw the global chat urging her to kidnap the groom. I was hoping that the general chat was just being their normal ridiculous gossipy selves. When I saw that your avatar was obviously AFK I couldn't help but shake my head at the general chat being idiots. You took a ridiculous situation and turned it into your benefit. At that point I had to request for an in-game marriage. You had caught me off guard when you thought I was hacked. I was further surprised that I had to talk you into having an actual ceremony instead of a hasty marriage. It also made me secretly pleased because that told me that your previous relationship with that fool was nothing but a business transaction." Xiao Nai gave a small smile and looked like he was enjoying a happy memory.
