Let's get acquainted, shall we?

The survivors immediately began shouting which startled me quite a bit. I moved back behind Jake, peeking from behind him. "Hey! We know this is big shock to you all. It was a big shock to us. But freaking out about it won't help and it'll further scare her." Jake said, shutting up the other survivors. "Why the hell is a kid here?!" a man with a British accent yelled. "I knew The Entity was cruel but I didn't think it was THIS cruel!" said a dark skinned woman with glasses. "You're telling us! We went against The Trapper and even he was surprised." said the rebel. A man in business attire and glasses sputtered. "T-the killers didn't even know about this?!" he asked in surprise. "Nope." the rebel said while shaking her head.

"Listen, I know this shocking to everyone but that doesn't matter right now. Despite how young she is, she's one of us now and we have to explain this realm to her." Jake said, calmly. The other survivors calmed down after hearing this. I came back out from behind Jake. I looked over the people in front of me with uncertainty. I looked at Jake and he nodded reassuringly. I inhaled deeply before speaking. "Hello everyone. My name is Kirsten. As Jake mentioned, I'm new to this so called game and I would appreciate it if you would fill me in on what to do." I said.

"Kirsten...What's your last name?" Jake asked. "I don't have one. I don't even have parents..." I said, quietly. "Oh..." Jake and the others looked at me with pity. "W-well, we should explain how things work here." Said the man with glasses. Everyone nodded. "You might wanna sit down, it's gonna be a while." Said the athlete. After what felt like hours, I was finally all caught up with everything. And my mind was officially blown.

"So, once you get here, there's no getting out?" I asked. "Pretty much. It's just sad that you're trapped here with us and you're so young." Said the dark skinned woman or Claudette. I looked down at my hands. I noticed some blood under my nails and realized that it came from when I scratched The Trapper. It had dried so I began picking it out of my nails. After a few seconds, I became completely focused on my little task that I didn't notice Jake calling my name.

"Kirsten!" Jake yelled and touched my shoulder. I immediately looked up at him, my gaze intense. I don't like being bothered when I'm doing something. He flinched from my intense stare. "Relax, I've got something for you." He said. He then handed me a few items. "What are all of these?" I asked, looking through the items. Jake then explained that they were offerings and that you could use them to give you a potentially minor advantage when in trials.

"Okay. So, how would I get more if I ran out?" I asked. Annnnnnnnnd I entered a long talk about bloodpoints and bloodwebs. "Did you get all that?" The athlete or Meg asked. "Yeah...I got it." I said, dizzy from the mass amount of knowledge I received. I shook my head rapidly to clear the dizziness. "Say, Kirsten, how did you get here? Like, what were you doing before you got here?" Jake asked. Just as I was about to reply, I felt a major chill run down my spine.

I looked around and noticed everyone was also tensed. "Y'all feel that too?" Asked Feng, the young woman from China. "As if we're being watched?" Asked/replied David, the British man who spoke earlier. Now, it felt like multiple eyes were watching all of us. I had an idea that the killers were watching us. I stood up from my spot on a log and looked at the trees surrounding us. I couldn't see anything but the trees but I knew the killers were there. I jumped when a hand placed itself on my shoulder.

To my surprise, it was Jake. He pulled me into his side and put his arm around my shoulder, protectively. I see the other's shocked expressions. I was shocked too. When I was learning everyone's name and backstory, I learned that he's typically a loner and doesn't really associate with anyone. Especially, not with new people. So, what made me so different? Was it because I'm a kid? It doesn't matter right now, though. If anything, I needed that because it made me feel safer.

We all kept looking around when I saw one. It was another killer. She wore dirty and blood stained clothes. A big, blood stained axe was clutched in her hands. Hatchets hung from her belt. And finally, a bunny mask and veil covered her head. In that moment, something happened to me. I didn't feel scared like how I was with The Trapper. In fact, I felt like I had authority over the killers. Like, I was more powerful. And suddenly, I could see every killer that hiding amongst the trees. And I could feel their shock as I looked at all of them.

The survivors were watching me in shock and amazement. I payed no mind to them though. Right now, these killers need to leave our, no, MY domain. I took a few steps forward and in a loud tone filled with authority I said, "You evil beings, be gone from this place NOW." And in an instant, every killer ran off and out of sight. When I could no longer see them, I went back to normal. I was in shock of my own actions. I looked at the survivors, seeing their bewildered expressions.

"What...was that?" Jake asked. I looked at him, uncertain. I don't even know the answer. "I don't know..." I whispered. The fire suddenly had my attention. The sound of crackling flames calling out to me. I staggered to the fire, feeling weak all of a sudden. I stopped three feet from the fire, desperately reaching out towards it. I could faintly hear the others calling out as I fell to my knees. I just...needed...one touch...

Right as my hand made contact with the flames, I fainted as I was pulled back and the survivors crowded around me, panicked. But they saw me briefly touch the fire and my fingers remained unburned. And mere moments before, they had felt a strong aura radiate off of me. Something they thought they would never feel again:

Hope.
