Bucky's POV
I watch from the high branches of a nearby tree, as she swims lazily with the omega male, talking, gesturing to her arms, to the scares that cover her body.

Even from here I can feel her aura, soft, joyful, air. The utter opposite of the angry, threatening and malicious aura I felt radiating off of her not a few hours ago.

I climb down a few branches until I can hear her conversation.

"So do you have any family?" The boy asks.

"Yeah," she sighs a bit.

Her aura changes to something of grief and guilt.

"Do you not like them?" The male asks.

"No it's not that," she seems to struggle of words, "I like my mom and my brothers plenty, my dad is another story."

"Are you ever going to go back to them?"

"I- Uh- I can't," she looks away from him.

"Oh, why not?"

"I did something really bad."

"What did you do?"

"I can't tell you that," she backs away from him a bit, "you wouldn't want to ever be around me again."

"Why wouldn't I want to be around you?" He furrows his brows, "you're so nice, and cool."

"Cuz I did something that not even the worst of alphas has ever done," she swims to the edge of the pool and gets out, grabbing a towel as she gets her shirt out of her bag. She dries herself and pulls her AC/DC shirt on over her swimsuit. "I'll meet you guys at the house."

She grabs her bag and quickly leaves before anyone can say anything.

"Do you think she'll submit?" Natasha asks once she's out of earshot.

"Not a chance," Tony groans, "she's been made to submit her whole life, she's not gonna do that again."

"What about James? He needs her in ordered to have his pups."

"He'll have to basically not act like an alpha around her," Clint says, "he'll have to treat her like an equal, not and alpha and their omega, just mates."

"Do you think he can do it?"

"Don't know," Clint shrugs, "he's always been power hungry. That and the natural urge of an alpha to dominate their omega is gonna make it really hard for him to do that."

I can do that.
Maybe.

Shit.

I silently move from the tree to the roof of a nearby building. I spot her, walking towards the omega house and my betas heading right towards her.

She doesn't seem to notice them as she continues on her way.

Ghost's POV
I continue down the sidewalk, head down, as I make my way back to the Omega house.

"Omega!"

I look up and find those stupid Betas walking my way.

"Call me by my cast again and I'll shoot you," I growl.

The toes headed one raises his hands in defense.

"Sorry, don't know your name," he says walking slower.

"Ghost," I inform him, "the fuck do you want?"

"We would like our wallets back," he puts his hands in his pockets then adds, "please."

I roll my eyes and pick up my pace, brushing right passed them.

"Follow me," I grumble.

I hear them start to follow me after I'm a good distance away from them.

Once I get to the omega house, I turn to them.

"Wait here."

I go inside and up to Peter's room where the wallet sit on my bed.

"Hey, Mooch," I pat my bear on the head as I pass it and grab a new pair of pants. I slip them on and grab the wallets before heading back downstairs.

"Don't know who's the black one is," I toss the wallets at them, "but I took a twenty out of it to pay for my lunch."

"That's mine," the red head says.

"Sorry," I look at the ground.

"Don't worry about it," he pulls out some bills from the wallet and holds it out to me, "here."

"What?" My eyes shoot up to his, "no. I already took some. It's yours."

"Just take it," he extends it farther, "please. At least it'll keep you from stealing anyone else's shit and actually getting in trouble."

I look from his face to the money and back again.

"Thanks," I take the bills.

I count them.
$150

"Holy shit," my eyes go wide and I look up at him again, "I can't take this much. Hell I've never had this much money in my life."

"Well you do now," he gives me a friendly smile.

I give him a small smile in return. I don't know what compels me to quickly go to him, but I find myself hugging him.

"Thank you," I say softly.

He doesn't even hesitate to wrap his arms around me, returning the hug.

"Don't mention it."

I pull away, still smiling softly at him.

"Hey no fair," the black haired one says, "I want an omega hug."

I raise a brow at him.

"Sorry," he apologizes quickly, "omega hugs are just the best."

I roll my eyes and go to him, hugging him, too.

He gives me a small squeeze before letting go and smiling brightly at me.

"You want one, too?" I look at the last one.

"Yeah," he says sheepishly.

"Come're," I wave him over and he quickly comes over, engulfing me in his arms.

I wouldn't have taken him as a beta with his size, but scents don't lie.

"By the way," I say as I pull away, "I don't know any of y'all's names."

"I'm Steve," the one I just hugged says with a proud smile.

"I'm Will," the red haired one waves a bit.

"Caleb," the last one adds.

"Well you know my name," I smile at them, "sorry again about the wallets."

"Water under the bridge," Steve waves it away, "sorry for chasing you a stuff."

"It's fine," I shrug, in truth they had every right to, "wanna grab a bite? My treat."

I hold up the cash Will gave me and the trio chuckles.

"I could go for something small," Caleb says.

I can smell woodsmoke and gunpowder again. This time I can feel his aura along with it, too.
Joy.
