Bucky's pov
I wake to the sound of birds chirping and people talking loudly.

I look down and see my omega still laying on me, her arms wrapped around my midsection and head on my chest.

I smile as I see her sleeping face, calm and peaceful.

I couldn't leave her last night, not only because I didn't want to, but when I did try, she whined and held me tighter.

I gently rub her head, trying to calmly wake her up.

Her eyes open groggily, and she looks up at me, groaning in annoyance.

"I've got to go," I say softly, smiling at her reaction.

She just groans again, and lays her head back down.

I chuckle and shake her shoulder.

"Ghost, I've gotta go," I repeat.

She looks back up at me and stares, eyebrows furrowed like she's trying to figure something out before her eyes suddenly go wide.

She gets up and backs away.

"Why are you still here?" She whisper yells.

"You wouldn't let me leave," I smirk at her.

"Fuck," she pushes her hair away from her face, "you've gotta get out of here, you're not supposed to be here."

She starts to shove me to the window.

"Okay, okay," I chuckle, "I'm going."

I'm starting to feel like a teenager again, rushing to sneak out of my girlfriend's house after she realized her parents came home.

I open the window and start to climb out, stopping to look back at her.

"What? No kiss?" I joke.

"Don't push your luck, Barnes," she glares at me.

I just smile up at her.

Equals.
I can do that.

"Call me Bucky," I give her a wink before climbing down.

I check to make sure no one is around before quickly coming from around the building.

"Barnes."

I stop dead in my tracks and do a one hundred eighty degree turn.

"Clint."

His arms are crossed and I can feel the disappointment radiating off of him.

"I could smell your scent around all morning, but couldn't find you," he deadpans, "so where were you?"

"I was sitting in the window sill like I have been since she went into heat," I reply, hoping it's good enough.

"Try again. I searched everywhere, the window sill being the first spot."

"Well maybe you're just going blind. I mean you're already half deaf."

"Barnes," he growls getting right in my face, "you know the rules. You're not supposed to be in the House under any circumstances."

And my good mood is ruined.

"She let me in," I reply lowly, not wanting anyone to accidentally overhear, "I didn't do anything to her."

"It doesn't matter! You're not supposed to be in there!"

"I tried to leave," I growl, "she didn't want me to."

There's a pause and his expression turns to that of shock.

"She didn't want you to?"

"No. She wanted me to stay, so I did."

"So if I ask her about it, she's going to say that she let you in, correct?"

"Yes."

We stare at each other, his eyes seeming to figure out if I'm lying.

"Fine," he relents, "I won't tell Nat, this time, but you can't do it again. I don't care if she asks you to, you can't be in the house."

"Okay," I nod, "I won't."

"Good, now get out of here before someone sees you."

I turn back around and make my way down the sidewalk. I make it past a few other buildings before I turn back to look up at the window.

I can see her, looking out at me.

I smile and give her a small wave, to which she responds with a raised eyebrow, unimpressed look and a small, two finger salute followed by rolling her eyes and leaving the window.

"At least she didn't try to shoot you, Buck," I say to myself as I turn back around and continue on my way.

That's a step in the right direction.

Ghosts POV
"I'm so sorry," I can feel my face light up like a fucking stop light, "I know I wasn't supposed to let him in, but my hormones kind of just took over and just wanted him close, even though I threatened to tear his fucking throat out if he tried anything, which technically he did, except well he kind of did, but it was consensual, but he didn't try to clean me, he was just trying to help me, but it won't happen again I promise, my heat's gonna be over soon and I'll be out of your hair for good, and you won't have to worry about me at all and-"

"Ghost!"

I finally look at him, guilt pulsing through me, but he just looks back at me, grinning.

"You're rambling on like a teenager that just got caught having a boy over by her dad," he chuckles.

It takes a second to process what he just said.

"Ew," my face detorts into that if disgust, "don't ever say that again."

"Ghost," he rests his hands on my shoulders, "it's okay. You didn't really get a chance to experience everything you should have as a kid, you don't need to be defensive or disgusted by any of it. Plus, even though he wasn't supposed to be here, "he gives me that serious look, "he did seem to help you. Your heat doesn't smell as strong and your body doesn't seem to be in any pain at the moment."

Come to think of it, my body hasn't felt this relaxed in a while.

"Just being near him helped you," he continues, "that's good. But you can't let him in again."

"I know," I nod, "and I won't. I promise."

I can't afford to be kicked out of the omega house before my heat is over. Although, maybe Bucky would help me.

Wait!
What am I thinking?
No!
I'm not gonna go to him!

"Little tip," Clint lowers his volume, "the bathroom has a ladder that leads to the roof. It's not technically inside the house."

He smirks at me as a glare at him.

"Hey," he brings me into a hug, "everyone needs a cuddle buddy sometimes."
