‣ 013 | taehyung's secret.

the two ate in silence. taehyung is stealing glances at jeongguk to see his reaction. but, there is none.

"master..?" he broke the silence.

"hm?" jeongguk hummed as an answer, still devouring the delicious cake.

taehyung went silent for a while before finally speaking.

"h-happy birthday, master." he greeted with a shy but nervous at the same time smile.

the ravenette stops eating, only to look up at the boy. he can't help but to let out a short chuckle and shakes his head. "thanks."

taehyung nodded and went back on eating his own slice of cheesecake, jeongguk doing the same.

the two ate in silence, but, it's not an uncomfortable or awkward one. it's a peaceful and comforting silence.

after eating, taehyung insisted on cleaning the dirty dishes as jeongguk is tired the whole day.

jeongguk didn't say anything about it and just went straight to his room as he's too tired to argue about it.

taehyung is now fixing his bed and getting ready to sleep.

the boy is wearing a new pair of pyjamas with little bears printed on both the pants and shirt.

taehyung turned the lamp on beside the bed then turned the lights off. he settled himself on the bed and went under the blanket, smiling in satisfaction at the warm and comfortable feeling of the mattress against his torso.

a smile went on his face, remembering the scene earlier. he's glad that jeongguk liked and enjoyed the cake. although the older didn't say anything about the cake, he can see it on his face. he even ate almost the whole cake.

the sound of a phone ringing loudly woke jeongguk up from his deep slumber, resulting him to wear a bitter expression.

he emitted a groan but eventually reached for his phone which was placed in the nightstand. jeongguk slides his index finger on the screen to turn the alarm off.

jeongguk slowly raised himself up to stand and made his way towards the door. he went out of the room and went downstairs towards the kitchen. he mentally made a note to himself that he will make only cereal for his breakfast today as he feels too lazy to cook.

but, as soon as he entered the kitchen, taehyung is already sitting on a chair with some delicious meals server on the table.

taehyung smiled happily and stands up. "goodmorning master. i made breakfast for us." he greeted.

jeongguk stared at the meals for a while before looking at the brunette. he totally forgot that taehyung cooks everyday for him.

"oh, thanks." he simply replied and took a seat on a chair in front of taehyung's.

taehyung sat back down again as soon as jeongguk sat down. they both started digging down on the food and enjoyed it.

"taehyung." jeongguk called out.

the brunette looks up at him with mouth full of food. "hm?"

"are you really going to stay with me forever?" jeongguk asked, not tearing his eyes off of the food.

taehyung gulped down the food and nodded even though jeongguk can't see it. "yes. unless you want to send me back in the company, master."

"are you like, a robot? doll?" the ravenette shrugged.

the younger frowned and looks down. not knowing what to do.

should i really tell him?

"i'm.. i'm just like you, master," he hesitantly answered. "a h-human."

jeongguk finally looks at the boy, finding the topic interesting.

"b-but, just like a robot, i have rules and t-there's this thing attached on my back. if i broke one of the rules, it will h-hurt me." he stated.

his lips quivered and he grips the spoon that he's holding tightly as he just broke one of the rules.

to not tell anyone about the company and himself.

taehyung took a deep breath, getting ready for the pain that will come any minute.

"so, what will happen if you broke all of the rules?" jeongguk asked once again.

the younger gulped down harshly, his hands now shaking in fear.

"s-some people will get me and b-bring me back to the company to k-kill me then replace me w-with a new boyfriend."
