the two are on their way to the nearby café that taehyung saw. as soon as the brunette saw the shop earlier, he immediately started pointing to it and telling jeongguk that he wants to go there. jeongguk didn't think twice and gave the boy an approval.

taehyung ordered chocolate chip drink and some cute looking cookies along with a strawberry cake slice while jeongguk ordered cappuccino for himself. he doesn't really feel like eating much sweets today that he bought only coffee for himself.

they took the available table that they spotted and relaxed in there. jeongguk is simply taking gulps of his coffee while taehyung is shyly devouring the cake. he still eats so gently, afraid that he will embarass himself in front of his master.

"ggukie hyung?" taehyung called out after swallowing a piece of the cake slice. jeongguk turned his attention from the other people to him and cocked an eyebrow. "yeah?"

the brunette pressed his lips together in a thin line as he feels really nervous and shy. "t-thank you for bringing me here and treating me. i'm so h-happy." he spoke on his usual soft tone but deep voice.

jeongguk stared at the boy for a while before giving him a nod. "you're welcome. enjoy your meal."

"y-yes. i'll enjoy them so much." taehyung replied and shoved a piece of the cake inside his mouth. the boy hummed at the sweet taste of the food and took another piece to fill his mouth more.

the ravenette watches how the boy devoured the cake in silence and couldn't help but to find it adorable how taehyung's cheeks bubbler up from being full. he thinks they look like stuffed bread.

jeongguk shakes his head from his thoughts and sighed deeply. he don't really understand why he's been admiring taehyung these days.

"hyung, look at the that!" taehyung pointed to the cotton candy stand.

they're now at a park that has lots of food stands surrounding the area. you could also buy some accessories and a lot more other things. the park is really popular that it's being visited by a lot of people everyday.

jeongguk look at where taehyung is pointing his finger at and crossed his brows. "you want that?"

taehyung nodded eagerly and looks at his master with sparkling eyes. "yes. i've always wanted to try it but no one bought it for me before. it's okay if you don't want to, ggukie hyung. i won't f-force you.." the boy's once sparkling eyes turned into gloomy ones. he looks down and fiddled with the hem of his shirt out of nervousness as he waits for the other's response.

and who is jeongguk to say no?

without saying anything, jeongguk held the boy's hand and walked towards the cotton candy stand. the brunette raised his head as he was pulled towards the place and he couldn't help but to smile happily.

his master may be grumpy and intimidating sometimes but he knows that he still have a soft spot inside of him.

when the two stopped by the front of the stand, taehyung immediately pointed to the heart design that's being displayed on the sign. "pink please." he told the vendor who started doing his work.

taehyung turns his attention to the ravenette who's just watching the vendor make the cotton candy. he pouted, noticing that he didn't order for himself. "hyung? you won't order yours too? do you not like cotton candy?"

that caught jeongguk's attention who shook his head. "i do like it. just don't feel like eating sweets right now." he answered and taehyung nodded as he understood. but he still feels sad that he'll be eating the food that was bought with jeongguk's money while the other didn't buy one for himself.

i'll just try to offer mine later.

he thought to himself, watching the vendor form the cotton candy to the shape of heart. when it was done and was handed out to him already, taehyung held it happily and gave the vendor a wide adorable smile followed by a "thank you."

they walked away from the stand and the brunette keeps staring at the sweet snack. he really wants to taste it already but at the same time, he doesn't want to ruin its beautiful appearance. one single bite and the beautifully formed heart shaped cotton candy will be ruined.

"you should eat it already before an insect does it first." jeongguk said beside him who noticed the boy staring at the food with almost drooling mouth.

with that being said, taehyung couldn't help but to blush and took a small bite of the cotton candy. his eyes went slightly wide from the sweetness and he took another bite. it is his first ever time eating one and he couldn't be more happy trying it out right now.

"thank you so much for this, ggukie hyung. you're the best owner ever." the brunette said happily before taking another bite.

jeongguk is glad from that knowing that he made the boy happy but a part of him is sad as well. he doesn't want taehyung to keep thinking that he's a pet that's being owned by someone. he wants taehyung to think that he's just a normal human being with no owner but a friend like him.
