4 days later.
"Damn man." Demani panted, breathing hard after he'd just finished bringing in Nyiah's couch by himself.
"You such a strong healthy black man. Thank you honey." She smiled, pushing her couch a smidge towards the left, before nodding her head in approval.
"We did so good. High five." She held her hand in the air, and he frowned.
"You didn't even fucking help. Fuck that high five the fuck." He muttered, and she laughed, wrapping her arms around him.
"Because you had it all by yourself." She mumbled as she looked up at him, and he chuckled.
"Mhm. Shut yo dumbass up." He mushed her head away, and she laughed as her phone rung.
Demani reached to grab it, and she snatched it off the table before he could, making him raise an eyebrow.
"Don't be a weirdo. Who is that?" He asked, and she laughed.
"No, you don't be a weirdo. Don't question me, I'm not Talon." She chuckled, and he stale faced her, making her laugh as she called Dave back.
"Every time you don't answer my call I be wanna smash your head against a wall." He said, answering on the third ring, and she laughed.
"You're giving much red flag. I was moving my couch in sweets." She leaned over her kitchen counter, eating her ice.
"I'm coming to get you in 30 minutes. Be ready. You understand?" He rasped, and her jaw dropped.
"30 minutes?! Omari I-." She started, and he cut her off.
"Do you understand?" He repeated, and she face palmed herself.
"Yes." She hung her phone up, groaning in frustration.
"Demani you have to go cause I'm bouta go." She walked in her living room, standing in front of him.
"Aight. Love you." He walked towards her door, and she grabbed his arm, pulling him back.
"Now what was that?" She frowned up at him.
"What?" He slightly rolled his eyes.
"You jealous?" She rose an eyebrow, and he scoffed.
"Of?" He chuckled, and she stared at him, before letting his arm go.
"Okay. Bye." She folded her arms, and he turned to walk out.
"Demani stop playing." She pulled him back, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"I'm sorry. What are you upset for?" She mumbled, rubbing his neck as she looked at him.
"Nothing. I love you." He kissed the side of her face, and she tightened her grip once he tried pulling away.
"Mani what is it baby?" She frowned.
"Why is you fucking with that nigga?" Demani asked, and she furrowed her eyebrows.
"Demani you're gay with a boyfriend. Why are you upset that I'm seeing somebody?" She retorted.
"I'm not, I was just asking. And I'm not gay. Stop putting a label on me, I told you I didn't like that." He told her.
"I'm sorry. And because I like him. But I reallyyyyy need to get dressed, I'll call you later. And don't be upset with me. I love you." She held his face, rubbing their noses together until he smiled.
"I love you too Nyny." He kissed her forehead, before walking out the door.
Nyiah quickly rushed a shower, before getting dressed.
