Same night. | TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️

Nyiah groaned, her body hitting the ground with a thud, being thrown in a basement.

She slowly regained consciousness, her vision blurry, hearing Dave calling her name.

"Baby. Wake up mama." She could distantly hear him trying to get his attention, but the hard hit yo her head made it hard for her to focus.

She could hear him cursing to himself, and she head chains clattering. Nyiah hissed, her vision focusing, but she saw nothing but black, a blindfold over her eyes.

"Baby?" She mumbled, hearing him sigh.

"Ima get you out of here mama. Don't cry please." He tried getting out of the chains he was in, hearing her sniffing.

Nyiah felt around, her hands cuffed behind her back as she sat up against a wall. She realized her ankles were tied with a thick rope, and she brought her feet to her head, taking off her blindfold.

It was dark in the basement, the only light that shined was slight moonlight that only lit a small area.

"Nyiah stop crying baby." She heard his voice a few feet away from her, and she realized she indeed was crying.

"I'm sorry." She mumbled, trying to get her eyes to adjust to the darkness, before seeing his figure against another wall.

"David stop. That's not doing anything but hurting yourself." She said, able to hear and see him banging the chain against the wall, trying to break the lock.

"Fuck man. Fuck, fuck, fuck." He cursed to himself, rage seeping through his body.

He didn't mind if he had been kidnapped, but they had Nyiah too and that drove him over the edge. He was so thankful Kairi was with his Nonna, and nobody knew where she stayed.

"Nyiah." He called, and her body instantly relaxed at his secure tone. Even in a situation like this, he never failed to make her feel safe and that's what she loved about him.

"I'm listening baby." She mumbled, and he focused on her, not able to see her face, but able to see her figure.

"Whoever it is, when they come back, something is going to happen. I don't know what, but I need you to hold on for me. Ima get you out of here, I promise. Don't cry, you can't show them that you're weak in the moment, remember I told you that?" His tone was soft, and she sniffed, using her shoulder to wipe her face.

"Yeah, I remember." She sat up more, nodding.

"I d-shit man. I don't know what they gone do to me, or to y-to you. I'm so fucking sorry Nyiah, fuck man." He cut himself off, his voice cracking, and he cleared his throat.

"If they ask you something, answer. I don't care what it is, I don't want them to touch you so you have to answer. They gone use you against me, so you have to answer. Ima get you out of here, I promise. Im sorry baby. I love you." He spoke softly, and she tried not to cry.

"I love you so much. I trust you Omari. I love you for life." She said, and he felt his heart flutter.

This was one of the first times in a long while that he was scared. He was so scared of what they'd do to Nyiah to get to him. He was so scared of her being hurt; of her not making it out alive because of him.

Both of them were snapped out of their thoughts as the door opened, and footsteps trampled down the stairs.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Mr.Pablo in the flesh." A voice spoke, and David couldn't make out his face due to the lack of light.
