"You did what?" Lizzie asked Sirius as he told her that he had punched Snivellous square in the nose.

"Yeah, I punched him. I asked him if she cursed you and he smirked, he did it,"

"We should tell McGonagall,"

"You cursed him first, no way she'll believe that I do think you've gotten out of detention for the rest of forever though, I heard her telling Madam Pomfrey that she felt just terrible," Sirius smiled.

"She'll get over it soon, trust me," Lizzie laughed, "I mean, soon enough I'll piss her off enough that she'll forget,"

"Yeah, that does sound likely," Sirius nodded, "but you can always hold it over her head that you were cursed, and she kept making you go to detention,"

"In her defense, she didn't know,"

"That's true, at least you get a gnarly battle scar"

"Right? Look, Pomfrey said it should get air sometimes," Lizzie unwrapped the loose bandage. There were still dark stitches in her hand, but she could see how the skin had sealed itself. She only had to go to the hospital wing once every two days now.

"Woah," Sirius ogled. The scar was thick and bright pink; it was still agitated.

"Now, she just puts Dittany on it and then wraps it again, I think she feels bad for me, that she didn't catch the curse earlier,"

"I think she was just trying to keep her head so she would be calm for you,"

"Yeah, probably," Lizzie nodded, "it doesn't hurt anymore though," she shrugged. She wasn't behind on work for one time in her life, so she was pretty relaxed. She only had to work on their current work, McGonagall must have explained to all the teachers what happened because they all told her that she didn't have to do any writing assignments until she could hold a quill with her right hand.

She decided to try a few with her left hand. McGonagall applauded her effort but informed her that her work was wildly illegible. Lizzie had resigned to the fact that she would not come out of this ambidextrous, which was fine, she was barely dexterous with her right hand.

"I'm cleared to go back to Quidditch next week," Lizzie changed the subject slightly.

"That's good! I hear Charlie's been getting a bit nervous about what he would do without his seeker with the cup coming up," Sirius laughed.

"Yeah, I told him that I would use all the Dittany in the world over missing the game, and that shit hurts," Lizzie emphasized that it was painful.

"I never knew Dittany hurt, I've never really needed it," Sirius shrugged, "it seems that it's usually reserved for pretty serious injuries,"

Lizzie grinned, "Aren't all of your injuries Sirius injuries?"

Sirius burst out laughing at that. The Sirius jokes never got old. That was the first time he'd heard one from Lizzie though. Sirius had an infectious laugh. Lizzie laughed along with him. It was good for her to laugh again. She had actually been pretty broken up about her near-death experience. She never thought she would have one of those, but she was sure it would feel different than that did. It just made her feel stupid. She almost died because Snivellous called her a name?
