Truth or dare had gone on for quite a while. Lizzie had gotten a bit sick of it. Occasionally it would go to her again, she would switch between asking her friends.

"Liz! Truth or dare?" one of the drunk Gryffindors directed his question Lizzie's way.

"Truth," she responded. She didn't like how she felt, and since they knew, she didn't really want to drink, people kept daring her to take shots. She felt like she was very drunk. She didn't really understand why people wanted her to do something she didn't like. Was this the peer pressure that public school back home warned her about? She decided that yes, yes it was.

"You never answered this before, do you fancy anyone here?"

"No," Lizzie shook her head. It made her a bit dizzy. She could have sworn she heard the boy's friend saying "Ah, that's rough buddy,"

"Er, James, truth or dare?"

"Dare," James answered quickly.

"I dare you to," she didn't want to say anything lame, but her head was spinning and there was little coherent thought she was able to make, "take a shot," it was all she could think of, considering it was all people had been daring her to do.

James did it willingly. The game continued on, and Lizzie didn't get picked again because it ended shortly after. Lizzie thought she was finally free from the jaws of drunken party games, but she was not so lucky. Somebody had suggested playing spin the bottle. Lizzie had never kissed anyone before, so she didn't really want to play. She tried to get up, only to be pulled back down by Sirius.

"I don't want to," she shook her head.

"Come on Liz, live a little," Sirius smiled at her. He had stopped drinking more a while ago, and she was very glad for that. She was not glad at his insistence for her to do things he knew made her uncomfortable. She was getting quite mad at him.

"Alright you lot," an older girl set a bottle in the middle of the circle of people, "whoever it goes to when you spin it is who you have to kiss!" she went first, spinning the bottle. It landed on James, who seemed smug. Lizzie thought it was a little off that she was so much older. It felt wrong to her. She never liked the idea of age gaps. She had friends back home that were interested in some of the high school boys, but she just thought it was a bit weird. If they were a lot older, it would be different, but they were so young, every year of difference seemed to be huge.

James and the girl kissed. Lizzie was expecting a peck, but they were just straight-up snogging. She really didn't want to play anymore.

"I'm gonna go," Lizzie tapped Sirius' shoulder.

"No, stay," she insisted.

"Why do you want me to stay so badly?" Lizzie felt tears welling up in her eyes, "do you want to see me hurt that bad?" she stood up, even with Sirius trying to keep her sitting next to him.

"Goodnight y'all," she waved to the group and left them to go up to the boy's dormitory. She didn't even think that she wouldn't want someone to see her entering the boy's dorm, they all knew she spent quite a bit of time there anyway.

The room was dark, but she didn't do anything to change that. She went into her corner fort and made sure the curtains were shut. Once they were shut, she heard footsteps padding over to her. She pushed her hair from her face. She had taken it down a while ago when she was sure it was dry. The bun was pulling on her scalp, and it was uncomfortable.
