Apparently the Goddess never met me again after our last meeting two months ago.
And now I live my second life as Lady Ying Elidys, Daughter of Duke Elidys and Duchess Elidys. My Family and I serves the Emperor who currently rules the Kingdom of Thrithen, situated at the Southern Empire. But I heard he rules other nations as well.
My Father is the Emperor's current political advisor while my Mother and I resides at the east wing of the Palace. I've learn so many things among this world.
Magic also exists in this world, also monsters or even celestial beings.
The Goddess Shimera, she was worshipped in all over the Empire I've seen lots of lots of statues, temples and legends about her. Apparently she's the Goddess who brought me back to life giving me a second chance.
"Lady Ying? May I?" my personal hand-maiden servant Marta interferes my train of thoughts.
She places a tray of tea and snacks in front of me, I was still in my chambers.
"Is there any news regarding the continuity of my duty Marta?" I ask.
"Unfortunately no My Lady, Duke Elidys made sure that you never go back to being the Head of the Imperial Knights again, its also the talk of the Kingdom." Marta said while I just sighs, whisk she pours me a cup of tea.
I was quite annoyed how my Father overreacted about stripping me off from my duties and title as the head of the Imperial Knights, Ying Elidys was the former head of the Imperial Knights she led many battles and won countless victories in wars or territorial disputes. I was overwhelmed how fearless she was in the battlefield, her previous life slowly began to reappear in my mind for the past two months.
She lived an incredible life but what about me? Ying Li? A lawyer from another world? Daughter of Justice and Pursuer of Crime? I spent my entire life learning, school and graduated becoming a well known lawyer, to avenge my fallen best friend who's a victim.
Putting criminals behind bars and bringing justice to the citizens was my job. My Life was nothing compared to hers.
I sigh and watches from the window.
Suddenly three servants entered my room without even knocking. They bought big white boxes with ribbons in them, my servant Marta walk to them confusingly.
"These are the dresses Duchess Elidys asks us to deliver, the finest dresses for the upcoming party." the servants said, excitedly placing the boxes besides the bed.
"Party?" I ask.
"Yes the Princess is finally coming back after 5 long years! The Emperor has an order, a masquerade ballroom party, for welcoming the Princess his Daughter." The Servants happily stated. They were seem to be excited about it.
After they left Marta then began unboxing the dresses, revealing beautiful gowns and dresses including accessories like jewels and heels. My Mother sent me ten dresses just for a ballroom party? Just how important is this party?
"My My All this dresses are so pretty My Lady, Duchess Elidys indeed has the best styles when it comes to your attires. So what shall you choose My Lady?"
My eyes scattered through the dazzling dresses until my eyes fell onto the single dress, captivated me.
"That one."

The Party will be held next week, invitations from all over the Kingdom has been sent out. And also to the neighboring Kingdoms outside Thrithen. I heard it was one of the most anticipated celebrations as for the comeback of the Princess.
The Emperor's only daughter.
I heard she's the same age as I am.
"Lady Ying? Miss Marta?" outside the door a servant called us.
"Yes Anitta?"
"The Duke wants to speak with you My Lady, and also they invites you to have Lunch with them at the Imperial Garden." The Servant Anitta informs.
"Besides Duke Elidys who is invited?" I ask.
"Duke Einsley and Lady Diore,"
"Alright I'll be right there."
As Miss Marta prepares me a bath, I grab a book and began reading or memorising all the important people also their details.
The Emperor is currently having an important meeting at the Eastern Province, since its his oblige to do so since he's the Emperor, He is quite the busy man.
Next is Duke Einsley, the eldest son of House Einsley, currently the Head of the Einsley Household. I heard the Duke is a known womaniser amongst the Kingdom of Thrithen, there were many rumors and gossips about him and his dirty works but certainly none of them were proven realistic which is why its stays a gossip for a long time.
Lady Diore, the Sultana's niece and the Princess' cousin. She's a talented magician and a beautiful singer, I heard the Lady is currently working as my Mother's student. Apparently Lady Diore has a sickening attitude and likes to look down on people. The Daughter of a wealthy merchant and the Sultana's youngest sister.
At the Imperial Garden, Miss Marta then excuses herself as a butler came serving me tea after fixing my chair for me.
"Ah, Daughter welcome. I see you've recovered from your injures, it's nice to have tea with you again alright let me introduce you to-"
"Sandler Einsley, its a pleasure to finally meet you oh beautiful Lady Elidys." Duke Einsley surprisingly appeared beside me kissing my hand gently, giving me a tender look. His violet eyes honestly are an attractive one to see and he certainly is good looking too but I'm currently feeling uncomfortable around him.
"The Pleasure is all mine." I replied keeping my professionalism and cool down at control, reverting my hand away from him. He winks at me while I just glances away.
"And this is Lady Rosana Diore, your Mother's student." Father continued.
"You don't look pleasing as everyone says. How disappointing." she said as a fan currently covers half of her face, suddenly I felt irritated to hear her unpleasant words after me. Did she just insulted me in front of everyone!? I clench my hands getting annoyed at the sight of her, and worst my Father didn't event say a thing about her disrespectful acts towards me.
"Do not worry My Lady, you are certainly a apple in the eye." and then Duke Einsley over here was adoring me in his seat, super obvious.
This meeting is an unexpected one. How I wish to get out of here right now.
Both nobles are currently pestering me with their presence. While I was just idled in my chair sipping tea while listening to their pointless arguments. I just kept myself under the dark ignoring them as far as I can.
Why did even Father invited this people?
"Excuse me Duke Elidys." Anitta then arrives at the scene besides my Father. My eyes were focusing on them.
"It's a letter from the Kingdom of Atredes and a private message."
Kingdom of Atredes? Sounds kinda familiar I dare say. I wonder why they sent a letter to my Father? He was busy reading the letter and unexpectedly reacting to it too. Now I'm shockingly curious to know.
