Once letting the Faire know that she was heading to Rootcore, Win was walking through the outskirts of Briarwood Forest finding the trail inside. Win found the trail so she headed inside feeling the familiar magic that was in the air knowing that it was the same magic that she felt once a year. The magic that is in the forest was something that Briarwood forgot over the years since the battle with Master which was something that many heard as a story. "A girl like you shouldn't be walking these woods alone my lady," said a voice near Tarwin who looked in its direction. "Very funny Uncle Daggeron and you trained me well enough to handle myself," Win said smiling at him. "That's true but we have to still be careful in these parts," Daggeron said before hugging Win. She told him that she was trying to find a way to stay there with them and leave the Faire. "If you found a way to stay here for good that would do your grandfather some good along with putting a smile on his face. That is the same with your mother and brother," Daggeron said with a smile.
The pair talked about what's been happening since they last saw each other the past year. So when they arrived at Rootcore, Daggeron had told Win to stay in the main hallway to surprise her grandfather because it had been a year since he had seen her. "What took you so long to get back from your walk Daggeron," Leanbow said when he saw his former student. "That's because he ran into me on his way here," Win said as she stepped from behind Daggeron. Leanbow smiled seeing Tarwin again before hugging her as tight he could. "How's your trip here Tarwen?" Leandow asked when he let Win go. "It was fine as usual Grandpa," Win said in response with a smile. Leanbow knew that seeing his granddaughter once a year still bothered him but he shared that pain with Cody and Maddison as well.
Elyan didn't know that Tarwin arrived at Rootcore so when he walked into the main room he saw his childhood friend talking to her grandfather. "Last time I saw you it was when you were sword-fighting a guy twice your size," Lyan said joking at Win when he saw her. "A fight that I won even if it was staged for the Faire by the way," Win said to Elyan smiling at him. The pair hugged, knowing they could hold anything against the other without reason. Both Daggeron and Leanbow saw their friendship in the pair in front of them though their friendship was forged through distance and keeping in touch along with their love for each other. "You just came by yourself after you were done handing out flyers for the Faire," Elyan said knowing his cousin's routine every year. "You guys know my routine when am here every year," Win said with a small smile on her face. Tarwin asked her aunt Claire if she needed any help with dinner. "I can handle dinner for all of us Win but if I need any help I'll ask," Claire said. With that, Tarwin went to the room that she stayed in when she visited and her family didn't mess with the stuff that she left.
Back in Bairwoods
Cody kept thinking about his sister who came in earlier with the flyers so he couldn't wait to head to Rootcore to see her again with the rest of their family. "Still thinking about the girl with the flyers that came in here earlier Code?" Max asked her cousin as he was getting his stuff. "Are you going to tease me about the girl who was not even here for more than what 15 minutes?" Cal asked back because Max didn't remember Tarwin anymore. "At least you know that she isn't going to stay here forever," Max said before leaving. Cody told his mom that he was heading to Rootcore so he would see her in the morning when he came in for work. The further Cody walked in the woods the more he noticed things changing to the point that he knew that he wasn't anywhere near the edge of the forest. "Now I have to find my way to Rootcore without getting lost," Cody said looking around. Tarwin went on her own walk after unpacking her stuff while leaving some stuff in her bag. After nearly an hour of walking about nowhere, Cody walked into Tarwin before they realized that they had run into each other
"Tarwin! I didn't expect to run into you on my way to Rootcore," Cody said when he saw Win dusting off her clothes. "Neither had I but here we're are. Though it's nice to see you again after a year," Win said with a smile before hugging Cody. Cody hugged her back before following Tarwin knowing that he had trouble finding his way to Rootcore from the forest edge. "Why didn't you use the trees to travel to Rootcore if you have trouble finding Rootcore by walking?" Win asked looking over to Cody. Code knew that she was right about him getting lost in the middle of the forest on his way to Rootcore by foot. " I don't know why but I here am walking next to you back to Rootcore," Code said in response looking around knowing the forest.
At Root Core
"Home sweet home," Tarwin said as they arrived at Rootcore. Both Cody and Tarwin walked inside, Cody was in awe when he came here to visit his family. "I know that Grandpa would want to talk to you," Win said as she put her bag on a banister. "It's nice to see you again Cody," Daggeron said when he saw the pair. "Hi Uncle Daggron," Code said when he saw Daggron. Daggron smiled when he saw his nephew because Cody visits when he can. "You went on a walk and came back with your brother," Elyan said when he saw the siblings together. "He had gotten lost getting here when I found him," Win said to Lyan. Cody looked at his sister and then at their cousin before laughing. Tarwin walked to the balcony when she realized that her grandfather walked out during the conversation between Cody and Daggron.
"It looks like you have a fire of bringing together the family Tar," Leanbow told Win when she found him on the balcony. Win knew that her grandfather along with the rest of her family were the only people that would call her Tar. "It's less of a fire and more of a knack that I have with nowhere to go," Win said with a laugh before looking over the forest. Leanbow hugged Win knowing that she wanted to stay with her family for good but still hadn't found a way.
