"Oh, yeah," Steve said as the four of them stopped to look around the yard. At some point on the walk, he'd put his sunglasses on and now lowered them to see the yard better. "Yeah, This will do. This will do just fine. Good call, guys."
Melanie nudged Dustin's shoulder as Steve started heading toward the old vehicles and they fist bump. Then, they followed after.
Dustin, dropping a few pieces of meat on the ground until they reached the middle of the yard and dropped their buckets onto one big pile. "I said medium—well!"
The four turned to look towards the sound. On top of a hill lining the junkyard stood Lucas, holding onto his bike, a girl with red fiery hair right beside him, Max. He waved towards them, a smile on his face as the four stared back.
"Who's that?" Steve asked Dustin as the two started walking over. When Dustin didn't answer he turned to face Melanie.
"She's the girl." Melanie said, referring to her brothers crush. Steve's mouth parted in understanding, and the brunettes face melts into a warm smile when Lucas and Max were standing in front of them. "Hello, you two."
"I told Max about—everything." Lucas said, looking a little scared. Steve raised his eyebrows, Dustin's jaw dropped, Melanie was lost of words while Iris only watched.
"And before you say anything. You dragged my sister into this so—————" Dustin cuts him off by dragging the boy by his arm to sit behind an old red car. This wouldn't end well.
Steve, Melanie, Max and Iris watched them go, three confused while Melanie knew Dustin would have it out with Lucas for telling Max about all that's been going on. Steve sighed. Looking at the three girls."Let's get started, yeah?" In order to catch and kill Dart, they needed somewhere they could hide out at.
"What about the bus?" Iris pointed at the bus, Steve and Melanie share a look and he nodded, putting his bag onto the ground.
"Let's get some scrap metal, then." Steve said. "Y'know for cover?"
He began walking off in the opposite direction to find metal, Melanie stared after him, since they got out there the two have been sharing looks, she wanted to know what it meant. She wanted to know what was going on in his head. The brunette had millions of questions for the Harrington boy. But, for now she'd have to wait.
