A week.
It had been one, whole, damn week since you and Kylo sat across from each other in his quarters and spoke of Lieutenant Mitaka. Where he had asked you to keep tabs on the Lieutenant and report back to Kylo every afternoon.
You honestly didn't think you would last that long. But you have.
Each day you would follow the Lieutenant around discretely and note his daily course of actions. And what a damn boring life he has.
Data pad in hand you would take notes, on where he's been or where he's going. Nothing very suspicious about any of that since it was the man's job.
After a day of stalking you would make way for Ren's quarters and run through the Lieutenant's day to him before being sent to your own quarters, sleeping and it all happening again the next day.
Today you decided to sit in a room Kylo gave you access to that looks out into the control room - a large double glazed window located at the end of the wall. It was a box type room with a desk and it's own control panel. You don't know what any of the buttons do, nor will you find out. You were too scared to touch any of them so you just sat in an uncomfortable seat, looking down into the control room as a large number of First Order workers paced around doing their jobs.
Only, you were taking note of what the Lieutenant is doing.
You watch as he turns off a few of the nearby computer terminals before making way for the main door. Another day done.
You grab your data pad and make way for the door of the room. It slides open within seconds and you step out into the corridor.
Passing a few other rooms, to the left you click the panel beside the closest elevator. A few people already occupy it but you enter anyway. Your motive is to blend in.
Timing it perfectly as you do every other day, the moment the elevator doors open on the lower floor, Lieutenant Mitaka walks past. You easily slide out and merge into the traffic of the corridor, following Mitaka.
You follow him at some distance, going unnoticed to prevent raising any attention. You're successful.
Making it to the residence part for he ship, you watch from a windowed alcove as the Lieutenant types the pin into his door and enters.
You let out a tired sigh as you type into the data pad what time he entered his room, before beginning to make your way back. Taking turns and elevators to different floors you end up back on the floor of the control room.
The corridors are more empty at this time. The few people on night shift visible round every corner.
You reach the meeting rooms you've been in many times now and make way for the elevator at the end of this corridor. You're the only one that enters, clicking the button on the lowest part of the panel.
You stand in silence as the elevator descends to the very bottom floor, hating the tickling sensation that fills your stomach. Noting that you're almost at the bottom floor, you swiftly press your back against the elevator wall, flattening yourself as the doors slide open. You stand hidden in the elevator for a moment. Hearing out for any form of movement or footsteps.
Not hearing either, you empty the elevator and creep through the short corridor. Though the typical day is over you can still hear faint voices coming from the electrical room.
Placing most of your weight on your toes as you walk, you make why for the door situated on the left of the corridor.
You take a deep breath before entering the door. This is always the worst part. The passageway is colder than the corridor. The air biting through your uniform as you walk along the platform, hundreds of feet high nestled into the wall of the ship.
