Yandere! Joshua AU

Its my first time writing an AU so forgive me for the bad writing.

Also if someone doesn't know what AU means, It means Alternate Universe.

Now back with the story.

I've been at this school for almost 2 weeks. 

2 painful weeks. 

Everyone I've ever been around has gone missing the same day.

Everyone, other than Joshua.

Joshua and I always hang out and he's been comforting me every time 1 of my friends go missing. Weirdly enough, he hasn't gone yet.

I was pretty popular so people would want to be my friends often but then they would disappear and I would feel like it was my fault.

I found Joshua a bit creepy as well. He just had that creepy smile. I found it sweet but it was also creepy.

Me and Joshua have been friends since before college started so we know each other pretty well.

I've also developed feelings for him. Its just his smile, How kind he is to everyone, How handsome he is, His eyes, etc. I could go on for days but I'd rather not. In short, he's a gentleman.

I was currently talking to my best friend Lucas. He's been really nice to me and its only been 2 weeks.

I heard the ring of the bell indicating that the next class was starting and we parted ways as the both of us went to our respective classes.

I saw Joshua note something down before leaving but I ignored it. It must be something related to college and I need to learn how to mind my own business.

After classes, I was about to head towards Joshua but out of nowhere, Lucas stood in front of me.

"Lucas? Did you want to say something?" I asked eyeing Joshua from the corner of my eye who was no longer there and had left.

"Yeah! Want to walk home with me?" He asked politely. I couldn't turn down his offer after noticing that Joshua had left.

"Sure! I'd love to!" I said as he took my hand in his and we walked towards his place.

He insisted we go to my place first but he lost as he saw me walking in the direction of his house.

I walked in front as we passed by an alleyway while eating a box of chocolates that Joshua had given me for valentine's day.

"Do you want some chocolates Lucas?" I asked still looking in front.

I waited for some time but I didn't get a reply.

I turned around just to see that Lucas wasn't there anymore.

Did he leave me? Did he not want to walk home with me? 

No, He wouldn't just leave like that. He wouldn't do that. I know him well enough to know he wouldn't do that.

I walked back to try and find him. The darkness wasn't helping a bit but the street lamps were. I could see only dark silhouttes of things.

I was walking by the alleyway again as I noticed 2 silhouttes in the alleyway and I saw something in one of the person's hand. He raised his hand as I looked at the figure and realised that it was a knife.

I tried to stop him. I ran as fast as I could but I was too late as I watched the knife go through the other man who let out a yell. The killer didn't stop, he kept on stabbing him until the lifeless body fell.

I saw the killer go out through another opening in the alleyway and I rushed towards the poor person who was now no more.

The more closer I walked, the more I realised that I recognized him.

Lucas?

No... It can't be...Lucas can't be dead! There is no way he's dead! This is...You're joking....It can't be happening...No...This is...

I backed up hitting the wall as I started crying. I didn't have my phone on me so I wouldn't be able to call for help. I couldn't scream as it as a lonely neighbourhood and the only people around there at the moment was me, the killer and my lost friend Lucas.

I'll never forget Lucas. He was a good man.

I heard footsteps approaching and I ran out the same way I came in.

The killer came out of the alleyway as the dim lights of the street lamps helped me make out his face.

Joshua?

I went closer to the figure even though I shouldn't considering they killed Lucas and could kill me too but I needed to look at his face so I could tell the cops what he looked like after.

It is Joshua.

I feel dizzy, all of this is happening all of a sudden. My head hurts.

My eyes were filled with tears as I called out his name with a shaky voice.

"Joshua?"

He was startled that someone was there as he looked down in my direction that instant.

I couldn't hold the tears back anymore as I saw his blood-stained face. The blood of Lucas...

He wiped away my tears as they didn't stop running out of my eyes.

He knelt down and held my hand kissing it.

"I did this for you Y/N." He said standing back up.

I looked at my own hands which he just touched which now also had Lucas's blood on it.

"For me...? You killed someone for me? YOU KILLED MY BESTFRIEND JOSHUA! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?!" I screamed at him.

He walked closer as I backed away but my back ended up hitting a wall as he continued to get closer and pinned me again the wall.

"Yes, I killed him for you Y/N... You guys were too close, so close that I was jealous. I couldn't help it Y/N. I killed them all for you Y/N. All of them...Just for you. I needed you Y/N. I couldn't imagine the thought of you with someone else who wasn't me. I couldn't imagine you with Lucas. The thought of it angered me Y//N. I did this for you." He said with a smile on his lips the entire time as he cupped my face with one of his hands.

"You killed all of them? All my best friends?" I spoke as I calmed down a bit.

"I'm sorry Y/N. I needed to. I needed you to myself not with somebody else." He replied as he leaned closer.

I felt his lips touch mine as I tried to leave but didn't succeed. I gave up and just kissed him back.

I liked him a lot.

And this Yandere side of him?

I liked it even more.

I tried my best.
