Many years ago, a planet known as Avallon was divided amongst 4 clans of wolves. The four clans were known as Time, Space, Mystic and Chaos. A rightful ruler rose from the ashes to establish peace between the four clans for the past one-hundred years, but a darkness seeped across the world and into the beloved clan leaders' hearts, possibly spanning across the entire galaxy as well. The darkness was born of a broken crystal that fed off the emotions of others; no emotion, whether it be anger or joy, was safe. Many of these crystals were abused for power, causing the four tribes to separate, causing a war of mass destruction. This was detrimental not only to the people and their history, but also to their bright future. Out of the chaos of the warring clans, a special wolf was born: perhaps, the rightful ruler thought, this wolf born of such calamity would grow to become the prophesied Wolf of Life and Hope. He was sure of it; she had fairy-like wings, and a star between her eyes. The rightful ruler knew that she was at least very special, so he took it upon himself to protect her from the darkness so that, one day, she may rise, blaze her own trail, and bring justice to those around who do not obey the sacred Law of Peace and Harmony. Each day, the chaos of war grew. One day, the rightful ruler took the newborn and disappeared into the last of the light his world had left. Soon after, the rightful leader found a home with a loving family, left the newborn on their doorstep, and placed a crown and a compass in the little brown, woven basket she rested in. A sudden noise came from the entrance to the driveway. Glancing back one last time upon the newborn, the rightful leader slipped away unnoticed, his four white paws beating silently against the soft dirt into a portal.

As the rightful leader left, rain came from above, as the soft cries of the abandoned pup echoed clearly near the old wooden door. A man, seemingly in his early 20s, appeared to be walking toward the old oak door. As he turned the knob, he paused briefly to hear a quite unfamiliar type of cry. He then cracked open the door and saw a weaved little basket and a small creature inside. The man's eyes widened. "Honey! Come here a second." A woman with long, red hair walked up behind him carrying a small 3-month-old baby boy in her arms. "What is that thing? A cat?" The woman walked a bit closer to the pup. She saw that it was not a cat, but a wolf. "How did it get here, anyway? I've never seen a creature like this before." The man inspected the mysterious creature more closely only to confirm that it was, indeed, a wolf. "I think we should keep her." The man looked deeply in his wife's eyes. His wife was in denial altogether. "No! Absolutely not! We don't know what that thing is, let alone what it can do!" The man, however, had a deep, reassuring feeling that this little one wasn't going to cause trouble. "Don't worry, she will be fine living here. I have a feeling about this. We'll make sure she learns right from wrong." Their eyes met once more, as she found reassurance in his newfound sense of purpose. "Trust me..." he asked of her. She nodded gently, in cautious approval. He continued, "whatever she is, she will need to learn her own way forward, once she's ready. I can't help but to feel that this little one was left with us for a reason..."
