Chapter 5

While they were talking, the princess hasn't stop her starstruck gaze at the ravenette. She twists the handkerchief in her hands at the fact that the handsome hero hadn't taken another glance at her after the first glance when he'd just entered the room. In fact, she hasn't saw the Hero moving his attention elsewhere from the brunette in his arms. She grew even more jealous when the ravenette obediently nods his head to everything the smaller boy was saying.

"So, shall we start now?" Louis questions once he gave out the details of their training.

Basically, all he could teach them was how to increase their mana output and the incantations needed for magic to work. Since the magic circulating inside their body would need a medium for it to release, hence the need for chants.

Xena seriously listens, the smaller was processing all of the information in his head while coming up with theories about the possibility of outputing magic without chanting loudly. However, he'd place his thoughts aside for now and just watch as they're brought to the training area for physical magic lessons.

The training area is actually a knights' training quarter. The large open space was only occupied by Louis to guide Draco since the smaller had refused to participate and preferred studying them while taking down some noteworthy parts that he'd probably needs. For example; If one were to use magic, they must speak out the chants everytime and initially beg their gods for assistance.

"O'god of Fire, please light thy flame to incinerate that target."

"O'god of Water, allow this subject's control over thy aqua."

The main point from Xena's study of magic was that;
Chants: A bridge between the output of magicules and the flow of the magic's direction. It helps paved the will of magic to not run rampant and avoid backlash to the caster's own-self.

Skills: Affinities given to assist the main dominant style of fighting or lifestyle. It could be rare or common depending on how much achievement had been gained.

Special Skill: Random rare affinity given after becoming an expert in accomplishing certain classes or tasks.

It was pretty much the whole summary of everything taught by the mage in a simplified form. Xena made note to relay it to Draco cause god knows how much that man needs Xena to simplify all forms of things.

After he finished studying the important points of magic, Xena patiently waits in his stroller. While doing so, he decides to play with his skills to kill time and to understand more about this world.

He apparently have Creation, Space and Anti-Magic as his affinity in his status bar. He tried re-creating an electronic tablet that was left in his previous world to kill his boredom and to his not-so-surprise, it works. Exactly like his iPad, it had everything from music, movies and even games. The odd thing that he'd found while tinkering with the iPad was that other than not being able to contact the people from Earth, he basically had signal and even wifi. He put the iPad down and instead, tried other magic. He moved on from his magic affinity for now since he wasn't sure how to activate it and instead move onto his skills. He pick a couple to try it out.

Accurate Prediction, made him able to accurately predict a target's next move. He watched as Draco repetitively wield's his sword accordingly to the target that he'd have predicted.

Dimension Pocket, by imagining an empty space and picking up his recently created iPad. He imagine it inside the space and *Poof* the hand holding the device was gone. He tried to imagine it back to his hand and he almost topple over from the sudden weight in his hand.

Status window, the ability to peek through the exact calculated estimation of people's Ranks, Levels, Class and even progress of advancement towards their overall capacity in a game like interference.

Appraisal is only focused on one target, different from status window which could show a plethora of main informations in a large scale crowd.

The only difference between Status window and Appraisal is the range of the targeted number. Paired with Radar, it could show the status of the surroundings monsters and human alike. Sadly, Radar hasn't been unlocked yet and has a grey like interface on his Status Screen.

Feeling slightly uncomfortable from trying all new magic related things, Xena stops his self research and instead turn to play the iPad in his hands. He leans back to his comfortable nest of stroller and watches some animations while occasionally taking a glance at his hardworking boyfriend.

It was hours before the lesson came to an end. The whole time, Draco would check in with the brunette every quarter of an hour and make sure that the smaller is well-hydrated and snacked up. The ravenette also made sure to check whether the smaller was comfortable or needed to go to the restroom. It was a well-developed habit that was also caused by the older's minor separation anxiety. However, the both of them seems to be attached by the hips everyday. So, it wasn't really much of a problem.

The princess was obviously disappointed and furious because she couldn't chimed in during the lessons, due to the lesson getting too advanced after the basic introductory ones. Draco was just really good at getting a grip at his magic skills and Xena would always give his input in making Draco best his lessons, everytime the older came to check on him or he'd just give a signal to call for the ravenette.

The three months lesson plan was done in one day. Everything that Louis could teach to a student, including the skills and many miscellaneous knowledge had been taught. By far, the head mage has only had a handful of disciples and Draco has been his best student among other infamous geniuses. Well, mostly cause of Xena's help but he's also a good teacher right? Right? Louis can only laugh in nervousness.

With the lessons done and over with, the day remains to end peacefully like that. After the Loius bid farewell and basically had to politely drag the Princess into the carriage, they depart after saying a couple of words.

From tomorrow on, Draco and Xena's adventures will began. As they had already learnt all that they've needed and Xena was too excited to stay in a mansion, where the king might 'grace' them of his presence as he likes.
