Every young person has a dream to do something incredible. Be a movie star, an author, or a pop artist. We all want to be remembered. I am seventeen and started writing this book at fourteen. So why such a sinister topic such as World War two and the holocaust. Well, let's just say I was heavily inspired by a few books I read about the topic. For example, as a child, I read "Number the Stars" by Lois Lowry in elementary school, "The Devils Arithmetic" by Jane Yolen, and "Between Shades of Gray" by Ruta Sepetys in middle school. Then "Night: a memoir" by Elie Wiesel in high school. Reading these books was my inspiration for writing this novel.  I like researching this time in history and also went to the holocaust museum in Washington D.C. during a field trip.

As a child and being autistic, I have always been a very creative person. My family would always tell me how when I was a child I would make up stories and create my own small books. I also love music and I love the creative process of creating music and a story.  Basically from a child I knew I was going to do something in the arts as a profession, possibly a few things. For example, it is my dream to be on broadway and to be an author. Maybe I could write my own musical and be up in the ranks like the incomparable Lin Manuel Miranda.

Continuing with writing, I also have written several poems and a few short stories. This is my first novel but have two in the making. One is realistic fiction and one science fiction.
