Five Years Later

"Aiden." Kai shouted. "Get down these steps."

Aiden came down the steps. His eyes and hands were glued down on his Nintendo 3DS his parents had got him the Christmas before. He was on his last level of MineCraft(Super Mario Edition) and he had almost won, until his mom snatched the game from his hands. He didn't bother to glance up, because he'd be looking in her eyes. He had been through this one to many times.

"Gesh." He said.

"Yeah, I got you gesh. Gesh at my damn living room. Get them damn cars up." She told him. "Smart ass mouth gone get you slapped."

Aiden picked up his things. He was gone get them up when he beat his level, but his mom just had to "do too much".

"Dad was right when he said you do too much." Aiden said. "I was going to pick them up."

"You and your dad can make your own dinner." She said, handing him his game. "Gone out my face."

Aiden went to his room. Kai sat down and wondered should she make dinner or order something. Raheem would probably want her to make something, so texted him.

👊🏾❤️: What you wanna eat tonight?

As soon as she sent him the SMS, her phone lit up with Kim💋 displayed on the screen. She slid the answer thing, then put the phone on speaker.

"Bih." Kim said into the phone.

"Bih number two, what's up?" Kai replied.

"I miss you." Kim said.

"I miss you more." Kai responded.

Kai and Kim had begin being friends over the years and soon became close. The two were solid as ever unlike their old friends, they had one another's back. The friendship was real.

"Sure." Kai said. "We need to do some."

"Yes. We're boring ass women now." Kim replied.

Kim nor Kai had been anywhere since Raheem's birthday which was in December. That was one of the reasons they never went no where, Raheem. He had them on lock. If he didn't go, they couldn't go and due to the fact, he had to work 25/8, he didn't go because he didn't have time. He would not let another man have the satisfaction of looking at his girl when he was not there and the same went for Kim(little sister version).

"I have always been boring though every since I got with Raheem, but you used to be kind of lit." Kai said.

"I have priorities, duh." Kim replied. "But that group Stunna Seven having a concert tonight, or some. You want to go?"

Stunna Seven are a group of seven male rappers from Memphis, Tennessee. They were on the come up with music and plus, they were the most popular around right now. Kai would listen to them sometimes and wouldn't mind if she heard them up close. She needed to leave the house for a while, but her problem was Raheem.

"Got to ask bae, then I'ma text you." Kai said.

"Ok. Let me go get these babies in the tub." Kim said.

"K, text me." Kai said, then hung up.

👊🏾❤️: I got us Chinese. Be home in a second.

Kai responded: Ok.

She was glad he was bringing food. She was tired after doing her school essay(s) and other assignments on the side, that would drain you. She needed to shower, but she would get Aiden in the tub first.

"Aiden, get your night clothes out." She said.

No response.

"If them clothes not out when I get up there, ass whooping it is." She threatened him.

"They are." He replied.

$

"Bae, please." Kai said once more. "I told Kim I was going."

Raheem removed his shoes and sat down on the edge of the bed. He had had a long day at work and he wanted to sleep his life away at the moment. He did not expect his wife to harass him about going to a party when he came home, he expected a dinner and a back rub to be honest.

"No." He simply replied. "That's final, where's my son?" He questioned.

Kim sighed and begin scrambling through her drawer to find night clothes, but not before she texted Kim and let her know she couldn't go.

He's tripping, man. Can't go.😩✌🏽

"I don't know, find him and stop talking to me." Kai said.

She was mad. He treated her like a prisoner. She wanted to have her freedom sometimes.

Raheem chuckled and went to go look for his son. He could give a damn about Kai's attitude. He did not think parties were suitable for anyone in a relationship, period. He would not let her go be in room surrounded by thirsty ass men. He just wouldn't allow that.

"Aiden." Raheem said.

Aiden looked up from his game, his eyes lit up when he seen Raheem standing in his room. He let his game hit his bed as he got up and ran to his dad. Raheem smiled, looking at his mini-me who was excited to see him. The bond the two had was unbreakable, Raheem did not think he would become this close with his son but he thought wrong. Aiden was Raheem's best-friend, they hung out like they were the same age.

"Dad, I got to let you know what happened today." Aiden said as he got back on his bed.

"I'm all ears." Raheem replied, sitting on his bed.

"So, mom messed me up when I was about to beat the last level on Mario man." He said. "Because I didn't pick up my games, such a meanie. I played with Kennedy and Josh, too."

Kennedy and Josh were his friends from school who stayed in the neighborhood.

He continued until he had dozed off. Raheem tucked him in, put a kiss on his forehead and left out of his room.

When he reached his room door, he seen a note on the door placed on there with tape. He knew Kai had kicked him out. The note read:

Take your black ass to the guest room. Your clothes in there along with boxers. Food in the microwave, too.

He laughed to himself and went to the guest room like she had wished.

After a hour and thirty minutes, he had ate and showered. He checked on Aiden and then went to his room to write Kai a note on the letter. He took out the pen he had got from his work bag and wrote:

I love you meanie, Goodnight.

He slid it under the door and went to the guest room to go to sleep.
