It was officially the week of fucking Homecoming. I still hadn't decided on what I was going to wear or if I still even wanted to go. After Willow attacked me in the diner I was having a hard time controlling my urges not to pull up to her house to fight her again. Its something about the way she came at me because Jae left her. She hasn't been on social media at all pretty much since then. I was heading to my third period class with Talia and as soon as we walked in Willow looked at us for brief second before turning around and walking in opposite direction away from us. I looked at Talia, confused clearly.
"Wow," Talia said.
"Right?," I said going inside of the locker room to change. Our gym teacher let us have free time for the period, so me and Talia just walked around the gym talking about random stuff. Willow sat in the corner alone the whole time while Paris and Jade wandered like they were lost. They had no idea what to do with themselves since Willow shut them out. The period went by pretty quick. The bell rang and we got changed and went to the cafeteria for lunch. I sat down with my food and ate with the rest of my friends.
"So there's someone throwing a party after homecoming, anyone going?" Jordyn said.
"Mm, after the last one I don't think so," I said poking at my food with the fork.
"What happened at the last one?" he asked. Aryan looked at him and shook his head.
"Wait but Willow and Jae are broken up so there's a chance nothing will happen," Talia said.
"Yeah but there's also a possibility Jae might try to fuck with me or Aryan when he sees us together," I said.
"C'mon on you really think that?" she said.
"Um yeah," I said.
"I don't think he's gonna try it being what happened last week when he spoke to you," she said.
"It's not certain he won't though," I said.
"Think about it the only time he actually was bothering you was because of Willow," she said.
"True but I still don't trust it," I said.
"Okay how about we go and if something doesn't feel right we can leave," she said.
"Deal. No bullshit Talia, or I'm gonna be mad," I said.
"Oh please you need some fun anyway its been too long," she said.
"Oh shut up," I said playfully nudging her.
"What I think Aryan here deserves to see you out of your shell," I said.
"Yeah that's definitely not happening," I said scratching my head awkwardly. I haven't gotten drunk in so long but I will tell you when I do its not pretty.
"Oh but I do," he said with a smirk on his face. I sighed and hid my face in the palms of my hands. We continued to enjoy our lunch period just keeping the conversation going.
"Hey I'm gonna go to the bathroom. Lia you coming?" I asked. She nodded and we got up heading to the girl's bathroom. As soon as we opened the door we could hear someone crying in one of the stalls before they stopped when we were walking in. I looked at Talia confusingly and she shrugged. Even though it was weird that someone was crying in the bathroom we decided to just mind our business. I looked in the mirror and fixed my hair then put on some lip gloss while Talia sat and watched, talking about what her mom did last week. A few moments later the girl came from the stall with her head down wiping her face. I turned around only to see Willow sniffling as she picked her head up and looked at us. This was a very awkward situation I did not want to be in. Here's the thing, Talia, Willow and I kind of sort of use to be friends. Yup I said it friends. Freshmen year was the year we were actually were super close and pretty much inseparable, and then Junior year came and she got a little bit of clout and it got to her head, so completely ditched us for Paris and Jade, who might I add were also popular. The party happened and that's when I found out about her and Jae.
