5. Sparks

Homecoming is officially today and I couldn't wait until tonight. Today we had a pep rally as kick off to the school year. Everyone reported to the school gym and sat on the bleachers. I found Talia and sat next to her. To my surprise she was already sitting with Jordyn. They've actually been hitting it off and getting to know each other more after he asked her to homecoming. Sparks are definitely flying around lately and I'm loving it. Things felt like they were finally falling into place for me. I was at peace. I was in my happy place. I was lucky to have such great positive people in my life. We sat watching the pep rally until it was time to head to our next period which happened to be lunch. We grabbed our food and sat at the table. 

"I cannot wait to get fucking drunk tonight," Talia said taking a sip of water. 

"I couldn't agree more," Aryan said. 

"Jordyn do you drink?" Talia asked. 

"Um I've had a few drinks in my life but-," He said before she cut him off. 

"K great you do drink," she said. He looked at her and smiled nervously. 

"Talia don't speak for him, my god," I said.

"Oh sorry were you gonna say something else?" she asked. 

"Uh- No I guess you're right I do drink but not often," Jordyn said. 

"See he drinks but he's not an alcoholic is what he's saying Ken," she said looking at me. 

"Well alright then," I said scratching my head. Jae came in the lunch room and briefly looked at me before his eyes turned toward Aryan. He was staring at him intensely and I looked at Aryan and tilted my head. Aryan looked at me confused before he turned and looked at jae, then back at me. 

"So remember that fake page I've been telling y'all about? It hit me up again on insta last night," He said turning back around to face me. 

"What did they say?" Talia asked taking the words right from my mouth.

"They told me to back off or else," He said chuckling. 

"Weird," I said. 

"Yeah, I'm starting to get an idea of who it is," He said. 

"He makes it so obvious with the way he stares at you like a creep," I said smiling. 

"Mm I love that smile," He said grabbing my hand. He kissed my hand and looked at me. I blushed and tucked my hair behind my ear. Jae went from intense to fuming and threw his food on the floor as he walked out of the cafeteria. 

"And that just proved my point to who is behind the page," I said laughing. 

"I guess it did," He said smiling.  The bell rang and I got up to throw my food in the garbage. As soon as I got up my eyes met Willow's, as she threw her food away. 

"Oh sorry," She said with a friendly smile. I smiled back with a little wave. 

"It's okay," I replied. 

"I um- gotta get to class," she said walking away. She was changing. She wasn't a bitch, the vibe seemed different but in a good way. I went to my last period class and got started on the assignment. The time dragged on and I found myself dozing off by the minute. I closed my eyes but was shortly awoken to my teacher snapping her fingers in my face. 

"Am I boring you?" she said. 

"Um- no no, I'm just a little tired, sorry," I said. I continued to finish my assignment and handed it in as the dismissal bell rang. I walked to my locker putting my things in there and grabbing my car keys and my bag. Talia met me outside waiting patiently by my car. Considering we had to rush home to get ready for tonight. Luckily she left her stuff at my house so we could get ready together. We got in my car, not wasting anymore time. We got to my house and walked inside and wen straight into my room. I got in the shower and washed my body and hair. I got out about an hour later. I grabbed my phone and checked the time, which read 5:37 PM. I walked out of the bathroom and went into my room to moisturize my skin and start doing my hair and make up. I finished around 6:30 PM and went into my closet grabbing my dress. I slipped it on and proceeded to put my heels on. I grabbed my clutch and met Talia downstairs.
