sunoo, was a quiet but energizing boy who was the son of the strongest vampire of the clan, kim jinyoung. there were other kids that had wished to play with the boy but he simply refused, he only stuck around an older boy called heeseung.
"hyung.. do you think love is just with like.. boys with girls?"
"no, i honestly think that any gender would be okay, why?"
"well.. you see.. i kinda like.. a boy.."
heeseung nodded, patting the boy on the shoulder as sophie looked at them with adoring eyes.
"boys, food is ready." the mother spoke, sunoo standing up as heeseung stayed.
"hyung, aren't you coming in?"
"in a while, you can go first."
heeseung sighed, life was tough, he could tell.

"bring the kids somewhere safe, get the fuck out of here! quick!"
"sir, what's happening?"
"hunters," the father of sunoo angrily spoke, getting a knife as the mothers rushed outside into the forest to hide.
"sunoo dear!"
a man with all black walked towards young sunoo. the red, orange and yellow colors bloomed in the distance, the heat getting too hot as sunoo sobbed.
"you're coming with me."
"no!"
they were also creatures with emotions, why do people have to hurt them like this?
"don't be fucking stubborn kid, your blood will sell millions in the black market you know?" the man laughed, sophie could only cry as she tried her best to escape the fire that ringed around her, her lungs getting filled with smoke as sunoo cried.
a growl was heard behind the boy who held sunoo by the shirt, making the man look behind to face the fierce lion with his mane.
the lion pounced on the man, growling as it showed it's canines, making sure the man wouldn't stand as heesueng looked back at sophie.
"just go, protect him please, don't care about me." heeseung was only at least twelve, but he made sunoo climb onto his back, sprinting through the burning house with a nearly passed out child on his back.
young sunoo grasped onto the lion's mane, hugging him as the lion's emerald eyes shined through the night sky.
the smell of smoke filled the air, heeseung looked back after running, smoke floating to the air as firemen watered down the expanding fire.
"mommy.." sunoo muttered under his breath, heeseung sadly looks at the boy.
he spirted once again, meeting up with the group of vampires as heeseung transformed back.
"where's sophie, heeseung?"
"she's.." heeseung muttered, jinyoung sighed, taking his passed out son into his arms.
"at least you protected the last thing from her, thank you heeseung." jinyoung thanked the boy. there were children from the ages of eight with them, bruised up mothers and teenagers.
"let's find a new area to live tomorrow morning, for now, set up camp."

sunoo coughed up his own blood, nose bleeding as the bullies punched him once again.
"heh, who knew it would be easy to beat up the new kid." the bully laughed, but he took it back as he saw the big cat growl at him from the side.
the kids screamed as heeseung transformed back, taking the injured boy through the woods and finding his own father.
jinyoung sighed, taking the boy into his arms as the clan's doctor healed him up with his abilities.
the clan leader coughed, a red pigment coloring his palm as the doctor sadly stared at the old man, "heeseung, would you take the role to look after my son after i'm gone?"
heeseung bit his lip, before nodding as the old man smiled, "i promised her to protect sunoo even when death got me, so heeseung, are you really okay with protecting sunoo?" heeseung nodded.
