jungwon looked at the heart-broken boy. eyes dull and never once filled with the pretty stars and constellations that once covered his endless galaxy when he was with riki.
"you doing okay there bud?" jungwon asked, the vampire didn't reply, instead looking towards his ring finger where the beautiful ring laid upon the cold skin of the vampire.

"you really miss him?" jungwon asked, making the once sunshine who finally turned his head to the boy.
"i do.. i just-" sunoo sighed, staring at the sun ring he made a promise with the boy he loved.
it only has been a week

"i mean, relationships always need trust, if not, then what are you standing on? quicksand or something?" jungwon talked, feeling fed-up that he had to also deal with the ranting american in his messages about a heart-broken riki.

"you guys just had a fight, every relationship has a fight once or twice. you guys didn't break up, just apologize for what you said and ask him why he lied. it's that simple."
"simple for you, i don't know how to approach him after having an argument with him.." sunoo muttered, feeling flustered with himself as jungwon patted his back, placing the phone down and muting it.

jay quickly typed on his phone, a bunch of mistakes and grammar errors that he knew jake will correct him on. riki picked on his lip and feeling blood seep into his mouth.
riki sighed for the seventh time that night, jay counting as he typed once more, only to shriek at the offline boy.
my only mental support, gone.. what do i do-

riki stood up from the couch, walking up the stairs and reaching his room. he flopped onto the bed after hearing the door close.
he imagined the vampire next to him, smiling as his eyes turned into crescents. the night sky littered with stars as the night gave in.

love.

riki glanced to the promise ring. smiling sadly at the ring.
we didn't break up, we only had a fight. riki thought, trying to calm himself down as jay opened the door.
fuck, riki cursed. feeling air leave his lungs at the thought.
it was supposed to happen next month, why now? riki thought again, punching his chest as he coughed.

jay soon realizied that the boy on the bed sitting right up with his hand on his chest was struggling to breathe.

every relationship seemed to have a weird addiction to lying in order to make their partner not sob in pain.
riki had one; his illness.

the same illness that was familiar to his own mother. konon didn't have it and it scared their mother to death knowing that riki was going to own the illness that passed down from generation to generation of the family.
the doctors knew but upon the request of riki's mom, they never told the happy dad who smiled at the baby boy sleeping soundly in his mother's arms.

when their mother died and father sent to jail for attempted murder. their aunt and riki were visiting the hospital in order to check if the dad had hurt riki anywhere else rather than his neck. that's when the doctor of riki's mother told the aunt that riki had the same illness as his own mother.

words couldn't describe that day for konon and their aunt.

the illness, can be found when the person is a child, growing up. the illness can be more effective as it weakens the immune system of the hostage.
most people will think it's a simple headache, a cold or anything considered a small sickness.

"why didn't you tell me riki?" jay asked, staring at the boy who clinched onto the bag of medicines of all-sorts.
mrs. park knew of the illness, after all, she allowed the boy to stay in the house of the wealthy parks.
The two walked as riki shrugged.

"it's just a habit i guess. my mom before she passed asked me to keep it secret from everyone." riki replied, biting his lip.
jay stared at him, and riki knew that look as he sighed.
