Heather's POV:

"No, listen. You can not wear a navy blue shirt with black skirt!" I exclaimed at Lyra.

She sighed. "I don't care."

I laughed. She didn't know about fashion at all.

I should've never asked her what I should wear for school.

I decided on a white tank top and white denim shorts. I also put on a see through, pink shirt over my tank. I tied my white, clean tennis shoes.

On the way there, I talked with Lyra. She was my best friend. We have really bonded over these three months. She knows all of my secrets. I would say that I know all of hers, but she's a leopard. She doesn't have secrets, that I know of.

We were walking in the woods, making sure that no one saw Lyra.

When we got to school, I said goodbye and hugged Lyra. "See you after school."

She sprinted off, and I walked through the school doors.

I walked to my locker. I was thinking about after school and what me and Lucy until I heard the clicking of heels coming down the hallway.

I turned to see Brittney and her squad coming towards me. Brittney is now the captain of the cheerleading squad and basically the whole school.

She wore a pink dress that only came down to the middle of her thighs and pink heels. On her right was Abigail who wore a dark orange mini skirt with a light orange tank. In her left was Cathy wearing blue shorts and a teal shirt.

All three hair styles looked exactly the same, considering they were all blondes.

Brittney came over and scanned my outfit. "You seriously can never pull that look off, Heather. I do think that you are very cute by trying to act like me."

"Then you must think this entire school is just adorable," I added.

She scoffed and sashayed away, Abigail and Cathy right on her tail.

I really hate the way she sashayed.

Ever since all of this Avalon stuff happened, me and Brit have been mortal enemies. We used to be twins. Now we were just acting friendly toward each other.

Notice how I said "acting".

So I just go on with my day, pretending that our conversation never happened. Just like every other talk we have had everyday the last 3 months.

Nathan's POV:

"Hey, Roxie." I walked into the clearing where we all met to practice with the portal.

Ozzie was right by my side. "Hey, Roxie."

She smiled. "Hi, guys."

"Hey, um, Roxie. I was wondering when you were coming back to school."

Before she could answer, Stormbringer spoke. "Never."

"What?" I exclaimed.

"I can't risk someone finding out her secret."

I scoffed. "Stormbringer, I understand that you want to protect her, but you can't have her in the woods all of her life," I explained.

She sighed. "Fine, but if any one finds out, it's on you," she said while snarling .

I looked at Roxie. "I'll pick you up tomorrow," I said as I ran home.
