Nathan's POV:

We were winning.

Heather took care of the dark creatures that the Dark Sorceress summoned. She took care of all of them and came to help Roxie and me.

Roxie attacked from the front while I ambushed her from behind. She was just too fast. She swiped her long, silver nails at me and aimed for my chest. I twisted my body and she missed and hit my arm.

I fell to the ground on my back. She smirked at me and held up her hand, about to come down on me. Her hand went straight to my wrist.

Roxie saved me (again) by jumping on the Dark Sorceress's back and digging her claws into her shoulders. She struggled to get Roxie off her back, but she held on.

I stood up and was about to use my gem until the Dark Sorceress pushed Roxie up against a tree, then turned around and dug her claws into Roxie's stomach. She screamed in pain and fell to the ground, clutching her stomach.

I turned to Heather, whose eyes were filled with tears. She clasped her hand over her mouth, but still held up her gem. It glowed white and the light forced the Dark Sorceress to fly backwards a couple of yards away.

I ran over to Roxie and supported he head. "Roxie? Can you hear me?"

Her eyes were fluttering. She weakly nodded.

I looked at her stomach and felt nauseous. Dark blood was spilling from a hole in the middle of her stomach. A pool of blood surrounded her.

She coughed. "Shh. You'll be okay."

She shook her head. I put my hand on her wound, only to find out that my crystal was gone. The Dark Sorceress took it!

I looked over to her, who was now standing up. She smirked and disappeared.

"No!"

And she was gone.
