Before i decided to leave the house, I sneaked to the basement and stole my dads shotgun, incase if all of this was a trap and I was dead meat. Luckily, before all of this my dad taught me how to use it and he only let me use it if it was actually a serious emergency. I had everything i needed, I just needed to let dad know I was going out. He said it was alright if I did, and everything after that was fine and dandy. I had to hide the shotgun from him just incase if he questioned why I had it, imagine explaining to your dad, "sonic hacked my computer and this guy called Austin wants me to go see him kk thx bai", that'd be an awkward conversation. So anyways, I left the house, and it was still pretty bright outside, and it'd just turned to the afternoon. I had a printed copy of the note in my pocket so I knew where I could find him, it looked like somewhere around the corner of my street actually. I took some shortcuts and other routes, but in the end I had gotten nowhere. That was until i had accidentally stumbled onto Austin's home. I didn't think it was actually the house for a good second, but then I looked at the page a couple of times, and then I realised, "oh shit, I'm at the right house!". I hesitantly walked up to the front door, not knowing if as soon as that door opened, some arm would come out and grab me into the house to skin me alive, or some shit. I stepped back to where I was only on the first step of the pavement, knocking on the door with the shotgun, just incase if this was indeed all a trap. The door opened, and, to my surprise..it was Austin. "Woah there! Maybe..put down the shotgun??" Austin asked me. I was in a big state of relief, and I, without any worries, put the shotgun away. "Are you..Thomas?" Austin once again asked me, "Yeah, you're Austin, right? You sent a note to my computer after I played that sonic game thing?" I asked him, making sure that he was definitely the actual Austin, hoping I didn't get the wrong house. "Yeah, that's me. I asked you to come and find me because I assume that you have a lot of questions about the game, so if you want answers, I'm here for you." He told me, keeping the door open incase if I wanted to come in. I took a step inside, and it looked like any ordinary house that I've been in before. I went into the living room, getting comfortable on the couch, as I needed to replace for awhile, considering the.."experiences" I've just had with the game. Austin later made his way into the room, and sat down on the couch next to me. "So," I started off the conversation with, "who the hell made this game to begin with?" I asked him, which is what I had been wanting to ask the moment I noticed things going wrong with the thing. Austin would reply, but with an answer that I was not expecting.
..
"A serial killer." He replied. I noticed a nervous look on his face as he had said that, as if something had happened with him between him and that person, and I was right. "Fucking WHAT??" I yelled in exclamation, not knowing how to feel at that moment. Austin took a deep breath, a bit of sweat running down each side of his head. "There's a Trojan virus inside of the game that tracks down your location, it's how the game knows what your name is. In the matter of 7 days, someone inside of a mangled sonic costume will come to your house, and will lock any sort of escape, and kill anyone inside of the house, and finish you off first." He told me, his voice getting Wobblier as time went on. "How the hell do you know this?" I asked him, as confusion and worry entered my mind at the same time, not knowing which part of my mind was feeling the majority. Austin put his hands around each sides of his head, tugging onto his hair in nervosity, taking a couple of breaths before he said what he wanted to say. "It's happened to me before. I got the game on my front doorstep one day, and I played it. 6 days later, my entire family was dead, and I was the only one who could defend myself. I shot the guy trying to kill me with a musket my dad had a while back, and because me and my sister were the only ones in the house, we were technically orphans then. We were able to find ourselves a foster home eventually, the kids there went very nice to us, however. A couple of years later, I had gotten a letter in the mail, from someone..asking if they wanted to play with me."..I was shocked, more mortified than shocked infact. This guys family had fucking DIED because of this game, "holy shit." I said to him, not knowing what else to say. I put my hand over his back and hugged him. "I am so, so sorry that you had to go through that. It must've been horrifying for you." I told him, as I saw tears running down his cheeks. "It's why I left that note in your pc, to stop anyone else from getting attacked from that guy. Somehow, the shitheads still alive, and ever since then, he's killed three other people." He told me. "..three other people?" I said, tilting my head slightly whilst I still had my hand on Austin's back. "Sarah, Fredrick and Josh." He said to me. "So that's who they were?" I asked him, still confused even though I had gained more knowledge of who Sarah, Fredrick and josh were. "They fell a victim to this too, they didn't make it out alive like I did, however..they were much younger than me." He told me. "Did you know who they were?" I asked him. "They were some friends of mine at school, we had this little friend group of ours called the hut of cray crays, where we'd usually hang out at when school was over."..holy shit, not only were they his friends, but they were CHILDREN. Innocent children that had lost their lives because of that game..yet nobody knew. This not only made me feel so horrible for what they had to go through, but also made me feel pure anger. I wanted to find out who the fuck made this game, and kill him. Austin stood up, and then told me, "Get the shotgun.". "..uhh, why?" I asked him.
