"Heather, look, I'm sick of the lying and the bossing around. I can't deal with it anymore. I really think we need some space." At [Y/N]'s words, Heather stopped walking, halting herself in the middle of the hallway as she turned around to face her. "Excuse me?" A little caught off-guard from Heather's sudden movement, [Y/N] took a step back and held her hands up in defense. Heather turned around to fully face her as she walked closer, eventually pinning the girl up against the lockers with a cold glare. "You don't tell me what happens in this relationship. Do you understand? Or did you eat a brain tumor for breakfast?"[Y/N] shivered under the cold gaze of her girlfriend. "I-I just figured we could take a break...I'm not suggesting we fully break up." Heather slammed her hand against the wall next to [Y/N]'s head, startling the girl even further. She leaned in closer so only the [h/c] girl could hear her. "Do you have any idea what these infested pigs would say about me if we broke up? How quickly it would ruin my hard-earned reputation? You'd be nothing without me, and you know that. You know damn well you'd still be eating lunch on the bleachers out in the auditorium alone." "H-Heather, I just want some space. I already told you I don't want to fully break up." "It doesn't matter what you want! If word gets around we're "taking a break", I'll be ruined. We are not ending anything about our relationship."
[Y/N] looked around her, feeling uneasy under the gaze of both her girlfriend and the surrounding students—who were now glancing over at the two of them. She suddenly felt a wave of courage overcome her, realizing Heather wouldn't ever actually physically hurt her. Not in front of the others, anyway. She shoved Chandler back and stood her ground. "You know what? I was trying to be nice about this. I would never want to actually hurt you, but it seems like you don't give a damn about my feelings either way! We're done, Heather!" Heather's eyes widened a fraction as she stumbled back from the shove, having to fully process [Y/N]'s words before she could retaliate. She gave the [h/c] girl a warning look as she spoke lowly.
"Lower your damn voice. Now." [Y/N] stepped forward until her nose was almost against Heather's, her eyebrows furrowed. "No! I'm not gonna lower my voice because I'm done! I can't deal with your bullshit anymore! Have fun with whatever your reputation becomes. Fuck you and your ego." With that, [Y/N] stormed off into the parking lot, where she got into her car and drove off to god-knows-where. Heather stood there for a moment, trying to ignore the stares that came from everyone. Had that really happened? Did her girlfriend really just break up with her in front of everyone?
After a few moments of silence, and Heather staring at the floor in shock, Veronica placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, why don't we get out of here? You look like you need some air." Heather shoved her hand off her shoulder before storming out into the parking lot. She climbed into her car and started it up before a knocking came from her window. She looked up to see Veronica and McNamara. She rolled her window down. "What the hell do you two want?" Veronica spoke first. "Heather, I'm not sure you should be driving. You know how little you pay attention when you're angry and upset." Heather scoffed and rolled the window back up before shifting into drive and driving off.
She's show [Y/N]. If they were really over now, that was fine. She'd be just fine without her.
