"Is that still Denver?"
"Lakewood," he answered.-
They headed back as soon as the sun was about to fully set. Their only source of light now was just the flashlight of Ridge's phone.
"This way," he lead before Luna could take the other path that was a way back to the main trail.
"Any more questions, hm?" He asked turning his head to Luna beside him.
"Sure . . ," she gave a short nod."Is Tanner the only one that has some kinds of power?"
"We all have good sense of speed," Ridge started. "He can feel your emotions . . . only emotions of humans are uncontrollable, but he can feel a vampire's emotions too if he wants. I have more strength, Georgia has better senses than us . . . she can easily know if someone is near, human or vampire," he kicked a few rocks as he answered. Shaking his phone more to have more light guiding them in their path.
"How about your parents?" Luna asked again, looking around.
"Well first off they are Helen and Carter Smith, they have the same as us . . . except for Tanner's abilities, they are better and more trained,"
Luna nodded and soon the modern cabin was a few meters away. They went inside greeted by Georgia in the living room.
"Are you hungry?" Ridge opened the fridge while Luna was welcomed by the cold breeze from the fridge and from the cold blooded human infront of it.
"Oh, sorry," he whispered, realizing how she started shivering. He closed the door and was carrying a piece of frozen meat."Hope you eat frozen meat," he took out the layer of plastic of the container. Luna stared at him flustered if she is really gonna eat that rock solid beef.
"Just kidding, of course I'll cook it for you. We eat cooked food too," Ridge chuckled and began marinating the meat that was unexpectedly not frozen anymore. Throwing in some basil, oregano, thyme, sage, and rosemary. Now the whole kitchen was smelling like herbs, Luna smiled as he prepared their dinner.
"Do you want rice or pasta?" Ridge asked as he spread the herbs and oil evenly at the steak cut.
"Rice," she answered and followed Ridge's directions as he instructed where the rice grains was."You can hang out wil Georgia for a while, I'll call you when everything is done," he smiled at her with the steak already grilling at the indoor grill.
Luna walked awkwardly towards the couch with Georgia at the other side not sparing her a glance as she just continued watching a show.
Luna cleared her throat and asked trying to start a conversation. "What are you watching?"
Georgia turned her focus to Luna sitting awkwardly at the other side.
"Addams Family," she said bluntly.
"What's it about?" The woman at the other side said causing Georgia to pause the show."Don't tell me you don't know this show," she warned making Luna gulp internally since she does know the movie, she just needed a topic to talk about.
"I . . . I know what it is about," she cleared out making Georgia sigh deeply, looking as if she was relieved.
"Why . . .""Well first of all, who doesn't know the show?" Georgia scooted closer to Luna making the other girl flustered.
"Have you watched all the movies?""I . . . I think so," Luna said nervously. She looked up at a 90º angle facing the oldest Smith sibling that was as cold as ice earlier, also threatened that Luna will soon die, and now she's ranting about the Addams Family.
Luna couldn't help but stare confused at the change of mood but for a couple of minutes she snapped out of it 'cause Ridge called her for dinner.
