*flashback*

She crawled weakly, breathing heavily as she carried herself up. She looked at the door and saw Nathan sprawled at the floor, his figure  breathing slowly, almost lifeless. She managed to put him in a comfortable position and leaned towards his exposed neck, blood flowing from his head going down. She opened her mouth exposing those sharp fangs at the sides and sinked it in Nathan's almost lifeless body. Took her about 5 minutes to hold back drinking more blood, she pulled her bloody fangs out and licked the wound at his neck; instantly healing the wound that was slowly turning pale and grey.

"Christine," he whispered, his eyes looking around but his whole body stayed still. He could feel his vision getting clearer, too clear infact. He felt good.  The vampiress gave him a grin that had a hint of evil in it.

"Welcome," she greeted. Nathan stood up and walked out the door as his curiosity widened at the new feeling.

"What happened?" He said in a raspy voice, two fangs were seen replacing his canines. His head was healed, no blood nor bruises in sight.
"They escaped," Christine said behind the new breed vampire. She got what she wanted; an angry new breed. Her eyes turned dark looking at his figure.
He let out a growl at her reply.

"What do you want to do, new breed?" She asked, calling him out.
"I'm hungry," he replied in an angry tone. She smiled. "Let's go hunting, humans are the best menu right now,"

The two went out the streets, staying in the shadows. They encountered a man waking at the side walk making them growl hungrily. Nathan blocked the man's path, while Christine was behind incase he tries to run away.

"Uh . . . can I help you?" The man asked in an accent assuming he was western. Backing up to a wall as the two hungry predators cornered him.

"We're looking for food," Nathan said, hunger visible in his eyes.
"T . . . This is a neighborhood. The nearest food chain is by the highway when you . . . exit," he gulped, and soon enough he was met with a brick wall behind.

"You can bite," Christine whispered to Nathan. He got closer to the man pleading to let him go, the man felt his phone vibrate from his pocket making Christine grab the device and see who was calling.

"Oh, we'll be having company," she said as she answered the call with the name 'Carly'. "I assume it's you wife," she grinned while Nathan walked forward giving no space at the man.

"N . . . No, please, spare me,"

"Honey?" The line said as the call was answered.

The man kept silent, shivering in fear.

"Hello?"

"Carly, I . . . I love you . . . please-," Before he could finish, Nathan got impatient and sinked his newly grown fangs at the man's neck. He cried and soon got unconscious. Christine grabbed his hands and sucked at the pulse making sure she drinks enough blood to quench her thirst.

Nathan pulled out, licking his lips tinted at a dark shade of red from all the blood that continued dripping from his fresh fangs.
"Drink more," Christine said as she licked her lips too, leaving the pale man sliding down the wall with blood dripping at his neck and hands with two visible bite marks, leaving traces of blood dripping down the walls.

Nathan bit again deeper, he sucked the man getting paler with each suck Nathan takes. Blood flowed through his fangs, leading to his throat. Christine watched him hungrily and bit at the neck again beside Nathan's.

The two finished and Christine pecked his bloody lips with hers, giving him a smirk.
"How was it?" She said as she dropped the dead body surrounding it with the pools of blood.

"Great," he grinned.

The two headed home, Christine lead the new breed to their coven.

"Charles, this is Nathan Andrews,"

Christine introduced to two. Charles Alder, the leader of the Eagle Coven. Adler; meaning eagle in German.
Nathan observed the tall man. Hair almost white, grey streaks were peeking out. Eyes as blue as the sky, with a hint of grey at the outer part of the iris, staring at him in a smile as crescents formed. As the usual, sharp fangs were located replacing his four canines, the ones below were replaced by much smaller fangs while the one above were very noticeable unless you have reallly bad eyesight.

"Welcome to the Coven!" Charles greeted. Nathan gave a small smile, a little exhausted from earlier.
"You must be tired," he said like he just read Nathan's mind. "Come, we have a few tents available,"

They went to walk down the path leading them to a cabin, and tents surrounding it. A pack of vampires were doing some work, some were bringing some what looks like bear meat, some were making more tents and others were running around. They all turned their heads focusing on Nathan, he looked at them back.

"Everyone!" Charles shouted and they all came closer surrounding the three. "I'd like you to meet a new member, Nathan Andrews. He will be the key of success to our mission," he cheered and laughed, resting an arm around Nathan. Christine rolled her eyes a  annoyed at their so-called leader.

"I'll show him to our tent," she grabbed him by his leather jacket with a few blood stains at the ends that were hardly noticeable due to the dark color of the fabric and the bloody red liquid.

Opening the small entrance, they were greeted by other people also in the same tent. Inside was quite spacious, 3-4 people can sleep inside and the place was quite comfortable.

"Make yourself at home," Christine said tossing Nathan a water bottle. "That's your sleeping bag," she pointed.

After resting he went out, greeted by the blood red sunset peeking through the trees. Looking around he was met again by their leader, Charles.

"Lost, Nathan?" he smirked. Nathan shook his head and unexpectedly earned a crack from his neck making the elder laugh. He gave a confused look.

"Don't worry about it, its normal for new breeds,"

"Ok, is there something I could do around here?" they both looked around seeing other vampires working, hunting, welcoming more lost vampires, and setting up new tents.

"Well . . . you are one of a kind Nathan, you will do a big part in our coven and I expect you to succeed," Charles started, putting his hands behind him. "But for, you should train with the others. Logan!" he shouted as a man in his 30's appeared from a crowd.

"Yes, Charlie?" the man, which was probably Logan, said and observed the new breed.

"This is Nathan, a new breed, he needs training," he pointed to the man beside him. The two eyed him and observed his actions while Nathan stood there getting uncomfortable.

Charles cleared his throat, Logan nodded and lead Nathan to the crowd which were training.

Why does everyone call me a new breed? I know I am but its like they're underestimating me.

Nathan thought to himself while he was practically being dragged.

He was introduced to some of the new breed's like him, hearing their back stories gave him nostalgia and missed the human life.
