Chapter Thirteen

7 1 1

Woah... this last couple days have been chaotic to say the least. To put it simply I confessed to the person I like and they said they were falling in love with my best friend. Talk about a wattpad story?!?! Anyway I'm back with updates and have written up to chapter 20 so expect some more frequency but then again I wouldn't trust my memory skills.

Also Thank you so much for 100 reads that actually means quite a lot for me!!

George POV

I was having a really nice dream.

I was in a meadow and Dream was there, we weren't talking but we were both lying on the ground looking up at the clouds.

It was a really nice dream.

I was still half asleep when I felt myself being shaken awake by someone. I sleepily opened my eyes and got confused for a second as to where I was. I really wanted to go back to the dream but I was really cold so I reached out for something, anything that would keep me warm. Fumbling around for a second with my eyes shut I finally found a large, fuzzy blanket. It was really heavy but I finally managed to pull it close to me. I was sitting upright so I leant against the object feeling as it wrapped around me. It smelt nice and like vanilla. I don't think I had ever been this comfortable but barely a minute into melting into the warmth a comfort of whatever I had found I heard a soft chuckle from above.

"George. It's time to wake up." A familiar voice spoke softly, the place that I was leaning against moved with every word that was spoken. Frustrated I reached up and hit my hand against the noise making area. A laugh emerged as I tried to shut it up and finally I opened my eyes turning bright pink as I realised just what the situation was happening.

I was lying on the swing seat, Dream was facing me with one crossed leg on the bench and the other stabilising the seat. I was wedged up against Dream's chest and he had his arms wrapped around my shoulders and arms. He was resting his head on top of my head and was looking down at me. I moved out of the grasp of Dream, flinching at the coldness that immediately swamped me. For a second I considered going back into the warmth but realised that would be weird even for my best friend.

"George - you good?" Dream turned his head looking confused and my heart skipped a beat. I needed to stop acting this way towards Dream.

We. Are. Just. Friends.

We. Will. Only. Be. Just. Friends.

...right?

I stood there looking at him with a soft look which he reciprocated, which *definitely helped*  to make me stop feeling these things. Right when I was about to open my mouth, probably to say something stupid. A loud and very annoying ring came from the front door. Both me and Dream jumped but my stomach stopped turning. We stood up and started walking towards the door gently brushing my shoulder against Dream's shoulder and I thought my heart was going to leap out of my throat but I pushed through the feeling, wanting this moment to end.

Making it to the door without having a heart attack, I pulled it open and saw the movers standing around with boxes.Jumping up and down with happiness I was so excited to finally have my stuff. I heard Dream laugh behind me as I reached out and grabbed the box grunting as I struggled holding it. I took a single step behind me and I almost fell over. Dream gripped my waist to stop me from falling over and my breath hitched, freaking out before Dream grabbed the box from my hands with ease. He walked over to the staircase, winking as I still stood still watching my every movement. I blushed and turned back to the still open door as the mover guys were unpacking the truck.

It took two hours for all the furniture to get moved into the townhouse and for all the chairs and bed to get put in the right position. Dream was good with carrying boxes even though he flopped down on my bed after I made it. We were going through all the boxes in my room right now, Dream opening and unpacking while I put everything away. I was balancing on the edge of a chair reaching up to the top shelf in the book shelf as I tried to put away a figurine I got when I was younger.

"GEORGE!" I jumped and almost lost balance at the sudden loud noise coming from Dream.

"What the hell - I could have died!" I responded, calming my heart.

"What. Is. This?" Dream didn't even look up, still staring down at a blue picture frame. My heart stopped.

"NO!" I flung myself off the place I was perched on. Scrambling to reach Dream who saw my emotions and stood up holding it above his head where I couldn't reach.

"Georgeee? Is this what I think it is?" My face flushed at Dreams face. He couldn't look at that photo - I thought I burnt it.

Elbowing Dream in the stomach I picked up the picture frame and bolted to the bathroom, slamming the door shut in his face and locking it. I sat down on the floor looking at the photo. Sure enough it was my face from my 16th birthday - apart from it being a poorly timed photo with my eyes half open and my mouth half smiling, I had a mouth full of braces, a face full of acne and a poor attempt at a beard. It was hideous. Turning the photo over I saw a sticky note.

You forgot this - so I got Wilbur to pack it for you! - Love, Mum! xoxo

I laughed out loud completely embarrassed from my mum - she could be very mean. I shoved it into a drawer in the bathroom cupboard standing up and unlocked the door. The door slammed open and hit my face knocking me over. When I opened my eyes Dream was leaning over me, obviously falling over at the sudden change in weight from the door. He had his elbows on the floor and out faces were nearly touching. I turned bright pink and before I could even move Dream had leant closer to my face, our noses touching. Time stopped as I stared into his eyes, should I kiss him?
